AHAHAHAHAHA OMG GARDEN GNOMES FOR APRIL FOOLS o_o I love their hats O_O I CAN MAKE THEM FOR BWCAS

Yes! Gwendolyn is going to be released before Bwca....I just cant take any pics of her atm because she's prepped for molding....^^; I'll add her pic in once I can get her molded and casted correctly >_0
I contacted the company that makes it and says I can special order the piece! YES! *dances*
Things are slowly getting better!

 

I'm so glad I'm not the only one that LIKEs those garden gnomes. Here I thought i was alone in my gnomelove. LOL

 

XD I think they're adorable really ^^ when I was little my grandma had one sitting on a mushroom....it creeped me out back then but now I want one XD

 

If i had a lawn I would too. WE had to deal with omg omg pink flamingos in the neighborhood. *sigh* Not on our lawn mind. But the neighbors. *shudder* WE had ducks, and big rocks the size of volkswagon beetles. (that's a story unto itself).

 

Kobolds are the small lizard people in the Dungeons and Dragons V3 Monster Manual that I once sicked on my unprepared D&D gang (man, that was a lot of years ago 0_0)

I have a lawn gnome in my yard ^_^

 

Why are you waiting to buy Mimi if you want her? You know you can include her in photos and photostories as long as she's with an on topic doll, right?

 

Yeah, but the smallest doll I owned is a MSD sized one--I only got her to be like an accessory for my huge Soom Super Gem. Overall I find I prefer the sexy adult like wimminz... I'm worried that as much as I adore her on screen, I might not bond with her in real life. Without the marketplace as a failsafe, I'm too chicken to take the plunge.

 

I've had decent luck selling doll items on Ebay, especially if they are LE. If you really think you want her I'd say go for it

 

There are other sites where you can buy and sell BJDs besides Ebay, I can link you to them if you would like. There is one called The Resin Cafe where those particular dolls are quite welcome.

As for kobolds-- I know that in Warcraft you have to kill hundreds of them every time you level up in a new zone it seems like And then when I got tired of WoW I picked up a different MMO called "Aion" and whattya know "The Kobolds in the Deep Throw mines are killing the miners and stealing the precious metals! Go over there and kill a quadrilliongillionbillion of them for Frozen Kobold Noses and return to me once your task is complete!" I actually quit Aion after getting to that part I don't want to get sent off to kill anymore stinkin' kobolds!

Though I'm sure Victorian Winter Kobolds would improve my opinion of their race dramatically!

This Friday I'm going to hopefully buy my doll case from Ikea! I am going to decorate the top shelf for Odette (or will it be Gwendolyn!?) and Mimi as a fairy garden! The middle shelf will be for my Souldoll double, decorated like a church. The bottom shelf for my Super Gem girls. I figured I should have it in the order of height so that the biggest, heaviest dolls don't have as far to fall if they topple over

It's technically a linen cabinet so it's much deeper than a bookcase would be, and hopefully the doors will keep them safe from dust and sunlight! I'm excited to go to Michael's and pick up a bunch of dried and silk florals to decorate Odette's (or Gwen's!?) new home with!

 

Oooh that's pretty! I want to get a doll cabinet from there, they are actually really nice.

 

Yeah the nice thing about that particular one is that it's real wood! Not particle board. Nice and sturdy for us in earthquake country here ^_^

I also just adore the color--it's a really dark gray, and has a pattern printed on the back panel. I can just imagine even without the props/ diorama I have in mind for Odette that the fairies will enjoy sleeping in that cabinet at night It even smells kinda woodsy and homey for a little fairy to enjoy! I also like the drawer--perfect for extra outfits--and it's a little raised off the floor, with just enough space to fit a nice doll trunk under!

 

Hi, just checking in; what is the status on lovely Gwendolyn?

 

VW had some technical difficulties with her tools lately, but Gwen is ready to be molded I believe? I am eagerly awaiting news about her as well

 

Do ya'll ever feel like there are "slow times" in the doll hobby? Like when no one is releasing a new doll there is nothing to talk about (if you aren't working on a project of some sort).

I mean it amazes me how fast companies are getting dolls out. VW just opened shop and we're already clamoring for the next release! I don't know how they do it, it takes me quite a little time to finish even one project...

 

I know what you mean!! For me though, I am waiting for Gwendolyn because I know I only have enough money to get one VW doll If there was no news on there being a new Twyleth Teg, I would have bought Odette and would stop pining over new releases :P I'm just waiting now to see Gwen before I make the purchase *just in case* she is even more gorgeous and must-have than Odette (though I'm pretty sure Odette's going to win, I've swooned over Odette's pictures every night before bed for the past few weeks!)

But Soom on the other hand can't come out with MDs fast enough. MORE damn you Soom! I want to see more! Neow!! *slavedriver!*

Anneke, can you show pics of Kobolds? I've played Warcraft and WOW, but not for a very long time XD (LOVE that cabinet!!)

I can special order the part I need, so I will be doing that tomorrow. Today I'm trying to fix it up so it can keep pressure. Yes, Gwendolyn is all prepped up for molding, I just need to be able to keep pressure so no bubbles happen during the molding process.
Her clothes have been started as well! yaaay I can't give an absolute estimate on her release yet, but I will keep everyone posted at every step of the way

ALSO I've started sculpting on the 3rd Twlywth Teg, Mira (She's Air). Her face is almost completed and so are her ears. I have to start on her hands and Wings soon.

 

Wow, what energy you have VictorianWinter! Has it even been a month and you are already on the next doll? I'm so excited to see!

 

Yes Gwen's Clothing is underway. For any Odette owners I can sell the Gwendolyn outfit separately if you decide you want it for them.
Will post a teaser photo on here soon of that outfit.
