1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Victorian Winter Dolls discussion

    1. Good vibes to you Anneke! That's why they call it Work, not say Having a Great Time. Work is work. Bleh.
You are so industrious VW! I can't fix anything. Thanks to my DH I don't have to. This includes dolls, he's also good with them.

    2. LOL!! I made my husband string my dolls when I first got one in pieces. I knew how the parts fit together, but dang, you need some strength to yank on those strings O_o

    3. Yeah no kidding. I gave myself an impressive boo boo once just taking a head off (pliers, meet face) Plus I am lacking the engineering gene big time.

    4. Anneke.............That is just plan terrible! OMGosh! It is bad out there. I'm barely selling anything at Etsy or Jpop right now.
You are among faerie friends here Anneke! And our shoulders are very sturdy to lean upon. Everything happens for a reason, y'know? We've been down that road many times, and I wished they would put up a road block up so no one has to go through it. But you have a job for now, and keep thinking that. It's hard, not knowing from day to day.

So here is where we need to send a bunch of faerie dust off, Mystique says she knows where there is plenty! Yeah still no new pictures of her, gosh she is shy!

HEY! VW! Those horns are awesome! Can Odette wear those too?

Sorry for the absense, we've been off to the mountains, hiking, fishing and wildlife hunting...........now I've got a horrible headache that won't go away!!!

      Hey Stella welcome back!

      My Mystique

I just love her blue colors!!!! *happy sigh* She seems to sit by these books alot. I think she is a old book lover and these are dated 1775. The piano in back of her is 1880 and still plays. Antiques, faeries, chocolate, oh my!

      VW...........you are a gifted lady!

    6. How cute, Muse Star!! Most of my magical folk are very tiny, but perhaps they need a queen!

    7. Ooooooooo, I like the sound of a Queen! Odette would make a very good queen indeed!

    8. Muse Star, that crown is AWESOME!!!!! You are so talented.
I just got back from the beach myself!

    9. Hey Stella!!! Welcome back! From the Beach! OMGosh! That sounds wonderful!!

Thank you so much, It fits her so well. The Odettes are so special, that I had to make a special crown for them.

    10. Extremely cool Muse Star! I live vicariously through your lovely Odette. Whilst you were gone I made my second payment, very exciting!

    11. YAY!!!!! Mine is starting to come around, still very shy, so I will sit and wait while she does come around and tell me alittle about herself.

    12. wow she is very beautiful!!!
are you eventual gonna have male Faeries? plz say you will!!!

    13. Oh!! Stella Maris, which version did you order? I'm curious how many white and how many light skinned Odettes there will be! :D It's fun to watch them all become their own person as time goes on.

    14. Polymer dolls are interesting, that's for sure! Lots of talent in that hobby :) A BJD friend of mine actually makes polymer dolls, and she recently started making polymer eyes for BJDs. I bought a pair of them for my Odette (whenever I get to order her--I'm still expecting to be laid off from work any moment) with a color called "midnight cassis."

My light-skin Odette is going to be a morning glory flower :) so the dark purple and fuchsia tone of her special eyes are going to be perfect! Here is a sample of what they look like:

I hope to have a custom purple/dark pink faceup commissioned for her and a dark purple wig from Happy Camille to complete the look! When I order my Odette I'm going to get her with body blushing to get her started--those pink tipped fingers, toes, and ears are PERFECT!

*Squee!* No matter how bummed I get about my mom calling my hairstyle a refugee-look, or missing my favorite book from my childhood, I can always get back on track and smiling when I think about all my magical plans for my fae! :)

    15. Oh Anneke: she's lovely!
      Very gentle look to her.
*sits back, waits, hopes for a Monday delivery LOL *

    16. I think that sculpt is actually a Resinsoul, believe it or not! It's amazing how versatile those dolls can be. The person who owns her is Candy Kitten, the one that makes the polymer eyes. Me and her go way back from our gun-slingin' Lara Croft lookalike days, LOL  Oh, the hobbies I had before I discovered BJDs...

    17. those purple pink eyes are pretty! I love the plans you have for your Odette ... she is gonna be BOOOOOTIFUL!!!

    18. A reminder to "Stay on Topic". The discussion is about Victorian Winter Mini Dolls. Other "off topic" posts will be removed.

      Thanks!

    19. Thank you for the reminder ginarolo, apologies for getting carried away with chit-chat.

    20. I ordered the NS, after much debate. In my head that is. They are both beautiful, but WS dolls tend to become ghosts around here, and I wanted her to be a living dragonfly. Those eyes are very interesting! Does she make the eyes for a hobby or for sale?
