1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Victorian Winter Dolls discussion

    1. Wow, I've never seen a doll like that! (I'm a newb) she's insanely gorgeous. I'm soooo happy for you.

    2. oooooooooooo io love all the eyes!!! I love red but i think my fav is auquamarien which seems to change the most in different lightings... tho i too love the Aura Quartz I could see a faery with eyes that are pearly purple to green.

      Freya! lolz that is an awesome photo!!!

    3. Yea, the Aura Quartz looks just like this: [IMG] but more greyish? They all do look a lot better in person ^^;

      All eyes will be for sale seperately on my site once I get a few more of each made.

      @Freya: Awww.....the pictures broken :(

    4. I see it now X3 (My comp has been acting strange :\)
      Very nice ;)

      I agree, such strange colors :O
      heh XDD

    5. but very faery like...

    6. OOohh VW love the eyeballs! Even the ones you don't like! Very cool.

    7. The black resin test was pretty exciting too! It sounds like there's plans formulating for a solid black fae in the works.

      I've prepared my resin family for the arrival of a new doll, though I realize even after I order her it will take a few weeks to get her sent out. Now that I have a doll cabinet I love the look of all my girls together, and I think Odette/Gwendolyn will fit right in. For now her little fairy grove sits empty awaiting her arrival. I think when the time comes I'll get tons of different colored eyes to go with her. I think a solid black fae with red eyes is in my future!

    8. red yes? Sound like a vampire...............maybe. But Mystique is doing fine with them now, now that she understands they are not going to "suck her dry"

    9. The imagination and playful nature put behind these dolls tells me anything is possible! A fairy friend to vampires? No problem. A vampire fairy? Sure why not! :D

      I'm actually planning on going down to San Diego for the BJD con on Dec. 4th. I just hope I have my VW doll by then :)

    10. hehehe an endless fae sippybox

    11. Hey VW! just wanted to jump in and say I really like the Aura Quartz eyes. Don't get me wrong, I would love a purple pair too, but the combination of the green with purple edges is awesome (it's my two favorite colors). Other then that one, the color I also really like is Starry Night.

      After using silicone "soft glass" eyes in most of my dolls I am a real glass eye convert. It is so hard to peel the softies out of their eyes without pushing from the outside (and bending up the lashes). I am really excited for when these get released. Will you do smaller sizes also? It's hard to find quality eyes at 8mm.

    12. (Quote) Odette's amazingly otherworldly and elegant fingers

      One of the bobble's came off her dress when I was upacking it. I did not realize where it was front so I hung on to it.

      NOW I want to make that into either a necklace tear drop or fiddle with it to make a ring or bracelet -- I'm really liking the ring idea. Her fingers and hands are wonderful! XD

    13. Oooo those fingers definitely need some adornment. I was thinking of giving mine some lacey fingerless gloves :)

    14. Fraya, I bet I could tell you wear the bead gos on her dress. As always, I will help you fix/fix myself any problems with the things I make.
      It's probably off the laces from her corset. two for each lace and one on every point on the under dress. Of coarse if you want a ring AND the thing that fell off I bet I could help you get a ring bead.
      Now you've got me thinking...maybe I'll do gloves with a future outfit..O.O ohhh jeezze so many ideas!

    15. Thanks my dear, but I did find it when I had her out for photos. But ya know, using it for something else makes sense too. haha The original recyclers the faes. XD

    16. Freya, how are you planning on making Mairead's ring? Wire or do you have another method? I am looking forward to doing something with those great fingers but I'm kind of confused as to how to make such a tiny ring!

    17. The wire is still on the bobble BUT it really doesn't fit and might damage her finger so I'm thinking of removing a part of the wire and fiddling with some metallic thread. Not sure until I play with the idea.

    18. Please note that this thread is veering into several areas that are not considered "on-topic" for Den of Angels. Personal discussions about pets is off-topic. Promoting items for sale needs to be done in the correct subforum - a discussion thread is not the place for that. Artist dolls need to be submitted to the moderation team for approval.

      Many of the discussions here might be better served at on off-site location.

    19. So, every time VW makes a new doll it has to be judged as on or of topic? Weird. I just assumed that, since Odette is on-topic, that a new sculpt with the same body would still be on topic. I don't see how this is any different than when Soom or any of the other big companies releases a new sculpt. I guess I could be wrong. Maybe every new sculpt really is deliberated every single time.

      Sorry VW, guess you gotta get her all done (and approved?) before giving us any pictures :(
