1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Victorian Winter Dolls discussion

Jun 30, 2010

    1. I think its because my dolls are considered Artist dolls.

But even Soom has had to be discussed if they're on or off topic (Their fairy line for example, they had to be discussed since the fairy legs don't have an ankle joint) Its also possible because they just might not know its the same line since they've only seen the head.

Well, I have made a simple forum on my site: http://victorianwinter.com/forum.php so we can discuss things that might be considered off topic. I'm still learning how it works but I would rather have the GMS happy then irritated at me for constantly posting off topic things lol. Hopefully once I get everything account oriented the forum will be better :\

    2. Thank you, VW!

    3. Once a new doll has been approved we can discuss it here right? Or is this thread just for Odette?

    4. Its for all my dolls, so yes once I get her approved we can talk about her on here :)

    5. Oh! Could we start a speculation thread for VW dolls? Like the ones for the Soom MDs; or would it not count as speculation if you were chatting with us :)

    6. Not much "speculation" involved when the artist is a contributing member of the thread. Please keep the discussion on-topic in regards to the doll(s) which have been submitted and approved.

    7. *beats head on desk*
why cant we have a thread that the artist and clients/us talk about all that artist's dolls... her present ones... wips of upcoming dolls and all plans we have to what we are gonna want and characters we make of those dolls ...!?!??! that doesnt seem unreasonable for this BJD obsession... it seems healthy for both artist and us...

    8. You can and you do. It's here -

      http://victorianwinter.com/forum.php

    9. I've somehow managed to store up some MSD size clothes (without ever owning one :sweat) can anyone tell me if Odette would fit into Ellowyne Wide clothes? Is she too skinny for that?

I have a great dress all cobwebbs and lace that would make an Odette look like a sweet little specter.

    10. Cool idea VW! I'll have to go check out your miniforum later!

    11. Odette's top is around the same size as a barbie, but her hips are a lot larger, around the same size as a minifee. I hope that helps you with the idea of her size ^^

    12. She is rather slimmer then I thought. I'll go measure a Barbie. I've actually never seen a minifee in person (kind of makes me a bad BJD collector doesn't it? Who else hasn't seen a mnf before!).

    13. Also, her wings get in the way of some msd clothing, And she's rather lanky, so barbie tops don't fit so well in that regard.

    14. Wow I didn't realize how slim she was up top--but I noticed her lovely wide hips. I haven't seen a MNF in person either, but I plan to have one as a fae buddy to my Odette. Hopefully they can share some of the more stretchier clothes :)

    15. Here are her measurements to give you an even better idea lol

      Chest Circumference 13.5 cm
      Waist Circumference 10 cm
      Hip Circumference 17.5 cm

    16. Well my MNF and VW don't share well, beacause the VW fae is just sooo lanky. All of the mini fee pants are high waters on her lol. some skirts fit both, but so far that's it. I can post some compareison shots for you all when I get home if you like.

    17. I would actually love to see comparison shots of Odette with just about any MSD possible, I have a Resinsoul MSD.

Muse Star was able to get one MSD dress to fit Odette quite nicely from Denver Doll Emporium, but now I don't think I recall which company it was from--I'm sure it's still there if you backcheck this thread!

EDIT: I just checked, it's a fairyland dress:

    18. Thanks!

Did a bit of Googling and came up with Ellowyne's measurements:

      Bust: 16.5 cm (6.5 in)
      Waist: 12.7 cm (5 in)
      Hips: 18.42 cm (7.25 in) (from http://www.ccoriginals.com/images/dollbodymeasurementsizechart.html).

So it looks like EW clothes would be a little big on Odette, but I found a thread that said mnf are too big for Ellowyne clothes. So maybe with a tiny bit of pinning they would be alright.

    19. I was hoping to buy an IMPL doll outfit for my Odette since their MSDs are so slim. Now I think I should double check those measurements, LOL!
