1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Volks Dollfie Dream Mini discussion part 1

Apr 4, 2007

    1. I think the yahoo DD group sent Volks a list of people interested in a DD boy ( I signed my name ) but I think their answer was pretty much the same, they had no plans at the time but they dont know in the future blah blah blah.

Obitsu made a male body, it could have been a good substitute, but it's shorter than the girl body :|

    2. Yeah, thats why I never made a hybrid dd boy yet. Theres no way my guys would be shorter then the women.

    3. aquilla I know this might be an odd thing to try..

But have you tried looking at drywall screw holders? I know some come real small and they are meant to fit into the drywall to give screws something to hold onto. I havent looked at my local hardware store to see just how small they can go. But if they come that small it might be something to consider.. and since they are plastic you can trim them to fit.

      Just a suggestion

    4. Stupid question. But could the Volks DD heads be put on an Obitsu body?

I like the 55cm boy body. (Not so much the 60 cm body with male chest plate!)

Like, I'm actually starting to get a bit anxious. I haven't really wanted a doll in a while, and I really think the DDs and MDDs are the way to go. I absolutely love the anime stylization.

I don't know why I just can't break down and buy a girl...

    5. Aquilla, how bout Loctite thread repair(I believe it's called that)? It's an epoxy used to fix stripped threads.

    6. Hi everyone~I'm new to this thread.
Glad to find so many people that are into MDDs~

      I got two MDDs~
      [IMG]
      Manaka (DDH03+Ayu body) and Latune~
      Aren't they lovely? XD

    7. I have saw people use Tamiya epoxy to repair broken "skeleton" of DD.
You may try use the epoxy to fill the hole first, then use a hand drill to drill a new hole which fits.

      Hope this will help~

    8. My fiance suggested that, however at this time I don't have a drill anywhere near small enough and as of right now there are more important things for me to do. I've gotten her a doll stand for the meantime though, so at least I can still pose her standing cutely.

Your mini dd are so adorable by the way. I love Manaka's dress.

    9. Thanks~ :)
Manaka's dress is bought from dollheart.
I'm pretty much surprised when I found the the L-breast body of Manaka can squeeze into normal MSD size dress~ XP

    10. umm... a question:
      any sie charts out there?

Because actually, I wanted to order a 43cm dollfie but since there aren't any anime like 43cm, I have to switch to smaller.
can you tell me something about the sizes of the dollfie dream girls?
And te size of the MDD?

    11. Mini Dolfie Dream is 45cm. I don't know how big DD-girls are...

    12. Recently I washed Mayu, after I put her together again I noticed something was wrong with one of her feet. It's like it's sticking out. I tried to push it further but it can't go any deeper. And this is how her feet look now:

      And with shoes:

Does anybody know what is wrong?

    13. Mirai's feet do that sometimes. What I do is I lay her down, raise her leg right up into the air and then hold the thigh and push down on the feet. You have to be pretty firm so don't be afraid.

If that doesn't work then I don't know what else to suggest.

    14. Here's my girl, Lily... who loves her kitty, lol:

For those looking into MDD, I have to say, she's my favorite Mini (and I've owned a lot of Minis) but you have to be patient with them... and be prepared to replace their body if something breaks... I'm prone to thinking that this new V.2 joint system is actually a lot more delicate than even resin dolls.

But they're SO TOTALLY WORTH IT!!!!

    15. My Manaka has been with me and my boyfriend for 1 year now.
So we take her out for celebrating her first birthday~:)

By the way, another surprise from Volks.
When we order this outfit from Volks, it is labeled as only fit for S and M bust.
But the outfit fits L bust perfectly, it even looks better on a L bust then a S bust.....^^"

    16. Here's another shot of Lily... I absolutely LOVE that she wears SD sized wigs... they have all the fun spirally limiteds, lol

    17. i dont know if this is off topic but.......

      just wonderin!:sweat

    18. Yup they can!
