1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Volks Dollfie Dream Mini discussion part 1

Apr 4, 2007

    1. I've got MDD3 body and some resin msd girls (old dollzone body, minifee active line, unoa). MDD3 is the best out of these dolls when it comes to posing and stability. It can't do all the poses (the internal frame has its limits, and for example waist is rather stiff), but it actually holds them very well (unlike dolls with elastic cord, which just snaps back whenever I try to make the doll hold poses with their hands/legs at an angle different than straight or fully bent). The only time my doll didn't stand properly was due to wind - apart from that she can pose well even without a stand.
So far I had zero problems with her, and she is my favourite doll among the msd size dolls I have.

For example, that was very stable (standing on one leg here, just had her hold the railing with her hand due to the wind- which she did firmly):

When I have more time, I might try doing some photos of the poses she can hold if you would like to see it ;)

    2. Awww, she's such a cutie, and that pose is fabulous! :aheartbeaMy current Unoa hybrid would definitely not be able to do it. Thank you so much for your feedback; I am very curious in the greater range of in-between "non-strung" poses available with MDDs- it seems to be just the thing I've been looking for!

    3. As for the posability of MDD, its about the same between the MDD and the MDDIII. Here are a couple of older pics (before faceup) of Tamayuki:

I have a ton more of him on Flickr if you want to look. He's my most photographed DD.:) I really love all the DD because they are a ton of fun to pose and its really easy to do. At the very minimum Tama gets re-positioned once every couple of days, but it is much more common that he's in various poses everyday because of pictures, clothing fittings, or just because he's silly/reflecting my mood. This has been the case for the year and a half that I've owned him. He doesn't do a lot of wild poses simply because that's not his personality and has nothing to do with the range that the MDD body is capable of.

    4. Thank you so much again; your photo stream is really helping me in deciding what to do with my poor girl. :) Even if my brain is most likely going to go around for another while before ultimately making its decision- sometimes the gears turn a little too much. ;)

    5. No problem, I'm glad I could help!

    10. Bought some winter stuff for my Cirno. Unfortunately, since MDDs heads are so big, I had to buy SD size - and the gloves are way too big... but the rest is a perfect fit :)

    11. Hahaha! She's so adorable!:aheartbea

    12. And I'm back! I ended up buying an MDD II body from the marketplace for my Unoa head, and while the head attachment is really rudimentary right now, I am overall very pleased. Much better than her old hybrid body!
But, I was wondering if anyone knew how MDD feet compared to Minifee, Unoa or Iplehouse JID girl feet? There are a few shoes I am eyeing, and I know lengthwise they would be fine, but do not know if they would fit, as MDD feet appear rather broad and "fat". Does anyone know?
Thank you in advance for any help. :)

    13. I made another custom HDD-01 girl, they are a bit addictive :)

    14. Nope; at least not the shoes I have. I don't know about JID girl ones but if they're the same size as Unoa/Minifee you're going to have trouble fitting them on their feet. That being said, perhaps some slightly loose-fitting shoes could work nicely but I can't guarantee that. I'd say the safer way to go would be regular MSD shoes and socks, it's what I have been doing so far.

jadepixel your girl is toooo adorable... UAU

    15. So I have acquired a MDDII girl body that requires some repair. I'm going to attempt to fix the frame (upper torso) with some modeling glue, but would the MDDIII frame piece work to repair it? I'm not well versed in DD at all, and I'm not sure what they changed version to version. Thank you!

My Momo is home! finally~ and on his proper body too uwu~ I have better pictures to post but the reason I posted this is to show you his shoes. I got these on ebay and surprisingly they're not too big or out of proportion on his feet at all! (:
