Volks Dollfie ICON

Especially after the year we've just had, they probably don't have the resources to put into changing the joints even if they wanted to. I just picked up some outfits with detached sleeves and threw them over the joints.

I'm probably not entering this year, even though I really like the new makeup and outfits - I need to save for Elsa. But good luck to everyone else!

 

Example of how I deal with the mismatched joints. Top with detached sleeves is from Doll Delights, wrist cuffs are from the Dollfie Dream set on the monitor back there. You could probably cover both with long enough sleeves.

 

I’m so pumped for new icons dude. RG clover gang right here, she looks like a boss.

 

Thanks for sharing this. I really love the new Icons they announced but the mismatched joints are a deal breaker for me (I really liked the Blue girl). Your picture makes me wonder if maybe I could do something similar for her, as I don't want to get into dying at this point.

 

Apparently at some point Volks said the Mismatched joints are intentional

 

I notice there will be no Terra RG. I’m saving up for her but it looks like my wallet is safe this time. Good luck to anyone who decides to enter for the lottery.

Volks got my attention. How big are these dolls? I’m in the process of selling off my entire BJD collection because of my age. But Volks got my attention this time. Tanned Tawny Terra and Lilac Iris. If only Tawny Terra’s lips were painted high gloss pink instead of high gloss red, and her hair above shoulders short straight red instead of long straight white, she would have been my perfect girl but alas, so near and yet so so far. I held my breath when I saw Tawny and Iris. I looked and looked. Sigh. I’m more interested in Lilac Iris. I like the joint color being different. I wish they are 16-18”. I try not to enter for the lottery because I am not able to take in another new doll. I’ve sold off my entire non BJD collection. But if I do enter the lottery, I’m going for Iris.

OMG how did I miss that detail I entered for Serra. I love everything about her, ESPECIALLY the red wig. I don't care much for any of the other wigs, so if I won I would hope to get lucky enough for her to come with the red wig or else I will have to try and hunt down a similar one...not my favorite thing to do!

 

Yeah earrings, eyes and wigs will be random. But hey, maybe someone will be willing to trade wigs if you don't get the red one.

 

I wish I would have known that I picked her because I loved the whole package as she was shown. Oh well, the odds of winning aren't too high to begin with, so maybe I won't win lol

 

I have a user group tab on my profile so I think I won! From what I am reading and seeing if you have a user group tab on your profile with your lottery entry listed as active you have won. I am excited! I hope Serra comes with the red wig, but I plan to look for one as back up just in case she doesn't. I hope I get the payment email before we leave on Saturday because I will be travelling for two days and they only give you two days to pay and not sure I will have internet access. Fingers crossed!!

Did anyone else who entered get a user group tab?

I just read the details page again and it does say the wig and earrings are random but it doesn't say anything about the eyes being random. I will have to look for a back up pair along with the wig just in case.

 

I also entered for Serra and I see the user group as well! I'm curious if this really mean I won one. If so,, which one since I entered for the romantic and normal eye.

 

I believe you have to decipher the code...I only entered for the regular one and mine says 84_petal, the romantic one should say something different. From what I am seeing I think the romantic head is 85_petalRG? That is if you entered for the romantic Serra. The code for the romantic is RG so I think you can decipher which one based on whether it has the RG or not.

 

I got 84_petal as well. The regular eye is my first choice so I'm super excited

 

Congrats! Well I should say maybe congrats, I won't be completely excited until I actually get the email! I did ask if there has ever been a case of someone having a user group but not winning and the concensus was no, so fingers crossed
