Volks Dolpa 14 USA ordering

Well I just submitted my order details to this email address [email protected] its the same one that they form is submitted the info to. So you can do that too if you want! made me feel better.

 

I kind of hope you can't win more than one doll @_@;

 

I figure since we're all getting the same outcome, that it's what we're supposed to get, and everyone who hits send will have the same redirect. Perhaps Bailey can fill us in when she comes online.

I put in for the SD16, and I'm kind of hoping the price will make him less sought after. Anyone know how many they have total of the dolls for the US market?

 

I put in for Yukinojou and nobody else. So hope I get him. ;_; I can't afford to get him second market.

I guess there's still the January afterevent if I don't get him this time. >_<

Fortunately from the responses so far it doesn't seem like very many people are going for him... He's expensive and big and male, so... *crosses fingers*

Nope, VolksUSA prices are inflated. He's 126000 yen, which converts down to about $1145 using Rinkya's current conversion rate of 110 yen. I have no idea where the nearly $200 extra comes from. ^^; Even assuming he's so heavy that EMS to the LA store is $100...

And nope, tax ISN'T included in that because you only pay sales tax from the US Volks website if you're in California. So Cali members who get him are looking at an easy $1450 total. XD

LOL, maybe I should hope I don't get him this time and that I do get him next time at the January event? I'll save a good $200, even with EMS. (That and I trust the Japanese and US postal services to get express mail to me and don't trust UPS to do so, but)

When would we have to remit payment? Did it say 2nd week in jan or when shipped in March? Can someone help answer that question for me as it would make a difference! Thanks

 

I put in for Hewitt and Anne, and my sister for Yukinojou . . . though his price is so high, I do think it will put some people off. It seems like everyone wants Hewitt, though! Eep.

hmmm., I guess it wouldn't be worth the trouble shipping him outside of CA and have him ship back to me to save some tax $ But, I probably won't end up saving that much having him shipped back and forth...

yeah, why on earth would anyone want to pay that kind of price! I will let you know if I got picked and change my mind

I thought about that too, but it would be more trouble than it's worth and more danger to the dolls being shipped all over the place. Oh, well, we're lucky to live in CA for many reasons, except for the tax.

 

Registered this morning for Hewitt at 10 AM (me=YAY!). lol, I just woke up right now though.And when I registered it took me to the Japanese Superdollfie.net site. I hope I get picked! *crosses fingers*

 

Well, sounds like everyone is getting sent to the same site after hitting submit.. I do hope you all get the dolls you want.. I wonder how many of them are being produced? Seems like now we all wait a few days to see the outcome.

Putting in your application does take you to the superdollfie.net site. I inquired about that at work today and if it was correct and I was told yes.

To my understanding it is completely fine if you put in two orders because of confusion over dates aor conformation. You will still be in the lottery. You will still be in the lottery if you ordered early and then put in another order.

So it seems judging from post one of this thread that we don't know if there is a lottery based on more applications than dolls? I still have no email confirmation. So I guess we now wait till the 8th of January. And if we don't hear on the 8th we did not get the doll/s.

If demand is greater than stock then we will have a lottery. The lottery winners will be notified by email and told of payment options by January 8th. This is not a first come, first served situation, if you put an application in you will get a fair chance just as everyone else.
People who do not win the lottery will not be contacted. So if you have not recieved an email by January 8th then regrettably you have not won one of the slots.

 

I don't think you "have" to. I actually want to cancel my order, but I don't think we need to worry about that because on the page it says you have to "confirm" your order or it will be cancelled.

I hope someone can confirm this, though, as I feel absolutely terrible! >_<
