Volks Dolpa SD17 Reisner Discussion

Yeah, I contacted both shops early on the 18th so I know how you feel. But at the very least, since they ought to let us know before the lottery, we can try that if all else fails.

One thing I will say though - Reisner is NOT cheap. I honestly doubt that a lot of people can afford him and I think the other dolls on offer will be quite popular choices too.

 

;o; I was in love with him before but after that seeing the pic that Cassiel posted I'm even more in love with him ;~; I really really hope that I can get him through the lotto!! I'm really nervous about the lotto because he seems so popular *sighs*

 

I contacted both Kerbey Lane Doll Shoppe and We Love Dolls on the 14th. And though I heard back from Rochelle from Kerbey Lane on the 19th confirming that they were indeed going to be taking orders for the Dolpa 17 Limiteds I still haven't heard anything from We Love Dolls (Though She did respond saying I'm on the List Should they be taking orders for the Dolpa 17 Limiteds).... I've just sent her another E-Mail today, so Hopefully I'll get a response soon from We Love Dolls

I also contacted Kerbey Lane about Reisner very soon after I got the email that she sent saying that they were taking orders. ^^ I wanted to ask as soon as I saw the dolls, but I remember that Rochelle said not to email her about the Dolpa until AFTER she had sent the email saying that they were taking orders. I hope she didn't change her mind, and put people on the list BEFORE she sent out the email . . . I would really be kicking myself!

I haven't even tried We Love Dolls, I'm sure I'm too late for that though . . . maybe next Dolpa!

This is only my second time dealing with Kerbey Lane so I didn't know we had to wait for the E-Mail to go out to place my order. I should heave read over her response a little more carefully, but I was just so excited. I don't even know if I'm on the List for Reisner now though I hightly Doubt it since I didn't write to her when the Generic E-Mail was sent out thinking I was already on the list... And now I've missed the deadline

The doll shops don't really get very many of the LE items, so I don't get my hopes up that I'll get a doll that way (though it would be nice to say $100+ in sales tax ). And this may be wishful thinking, but I don't think Reisner will be super hard to get like, say, Kurumi and Luna were. Maybe more like Amelia was in popularity? A lot of people loved her and she sold well, but she wasn't impossible to get. Reisner is REALLY expensive, so a lot of people probably won't want to/can't pay that much for him. And look at the other popular dolls Volks is releasing at the same time -- two open eyed Yo-SD's and ROSEN MAIDEN twins! Lots of lovelies competing with Reisner for our dollie funds.

We Shall we Shall we Shall I contacted the shops to even my odds at getting him, but to tell you the truth I would absolutely LOVE it and be over the Moon if I win him through the VolksUSA Lottery... But I'll be happy to get him from any where really just so long as it's for Retail Price

I still hope to get Reisner to from the Volks USA lottery ^^; I do have the money for him now, though most is from doll sales and my other dolly fund. Is anyone go for the VJeans? I'm going to try for three of them if I can.

Acording to Rochelle from Kerbey Lane, she got 18 request Orders for Reisner... But she says she will consider herself lucky if she can even fill 1/3 of the 18 orders.... She also comfired I was put on the list but only after the people who E-Mailed her on the 19th which I think it's compeltely fair since I should have read through her Innitial response and Announcment E-Mails more carefully and not just assumed I was put on the list.... Well, C'est la vie Right??... I've still got the Lottery and maybe even We Love Dolls. Has anyone heard anything from them?

I might have to email Rochelle to ask her what # I am on her list... hrmmmmm.

 

I am dying to know what number I am too! It is taking me a lot of willpower not to ask, I really want to know. We probably won't find out until just before the lottery though, when Volks confirms their order.

 

Arg. I'm #9 or #10 on her list. And I know I emailed her within like 6 hours of her sending out the email. That isn't very promising.

 

I wish eveyone luck! I'm still anxious about Reisner's release and I've already dropped out of the running! I kept doubting and thinking maybe I should try for him anyway, but I sealed the deal today by using my savings to buy one of my other longsuffering floating heads a body. So Daniel loses, but Delphine wins!

Kurosakura, thanks for posting your number and the time you emailed, I appreciate it. It helps give me at least a hint as to where I might be on the list too, since I am still trying to resist emailing Rochelle to ask! *twitches*
