Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases.     1. No, I didn't get one like yours, but then I ordered Reisner with sanded seams and self-standing parts, so they couldn't ship him immediately anyway.

      And as far as the card goes, if you mean your membership card then I don't think you will get another one with a purchase. I have purchased several Volks dolls and only received one membership card.

    2. Unfortunately this does not mean you have won him. I'm not sure why they phrase these emails this way because it raises hopes unecessarily. I received the same email when I put in for Kurumi....and I was all excited thinking "hot damn, I just put in for her and I've already got her and she's shipped and I don't have to do the lottery". Then I realized that it wasn't true and that I would be participating in the lottery with everyone else.

    3. Ah, well, I won't say that's GOOD to hear (cause obviously, it would be nice to know that I got one and he was on his way!!!) but at least I didn't have my hopes way up. I mean, I was thinking it was a little too good to be true if you know what I mean. It just didn't add up.

      It's still strange that nobody else is reporting getting one though. :?

    5. Well, it IS strange! I think you may be lucky...but I don't know. My entry specified sanded seams and body coating and self-standing parts...so, like Beckers, mine would not be available for shipment either...but I think it very noteworthy that you got this fascinating email that nobody else did! I have my fingers crossed for you.

      I put together pics of a Reisner auction and a Yukinojou auction to compare. :) See, their legs and arms look pretty much the same, but you can see how Reisner is thinner in the chest and hips. Also, the top joint of his torso is shaped differently; Yukijo's cuts straight across him, but Reisner's curves upwards. And his "undies" joint (haha, sorry, it looks like underwear to me :lol:) is smaller. I also notice they seem to have done away with the extra "cups" that Yukijo had in his shoulders.

    9. I wonder if his hips are so much smaller than Yuki's that he wont be able to wear SD16 pants. There's a SD16 outfit on Volks that I'd really like to buy for Reisner (if I get him, and if it's still in stock after the 14th!) but I'd hate to spend 60+ dollars without knowing for sure...

      I don't think he looks THAT much slimmer, personally... but then I've never seen a Yuki in person, and OF COURSE I haven't seen a Reisner!

    10. Considering that his waist is the same size and his hips are .3cms thinner (ie bugger all!) I honestly don't think there will be that much of a problem. ;)

      I just personally find I like the overall slimmer look and design of the SD17 a bit better, for my tastes. :D

Oh, that's good!~ I hadn't seen the measurments anywhere before (I haven't been stalking this thread for weeks like some people because I didn't think I'd be able to afford him, and I didn't want to make myself more mizerable). I like the slimmer look too. No muscle-men for me please!

      The difference isn't huge and is really only in the chest and hips area. (And as I said, the hips area difference is pretty minimal!) I just like my boys slightly more svelte than Yukinojou so I love Reisner's proportions more. :aheartbea (And well, Yukijo is a boxer, of course he was more muscular, whereas Reisner is a swimmer (being a pirate) and spends him time scaling the riggings, so he needs be more lean! :lol: )

      (The extras with him include the Dolpa Guidebook, the Dealer Guidebook (yes dealers get a different guidebook with a different cover, I went as a dealer once and so ended up with two of them too! :sweat), the dealer's badge (has Reisner on it too, so cute!), the postcard/badge set of Reisner from the Make-A-Wish charity booth, and some of the information sheets that got handed out, like in the LE queue. Oh, and of course the cute Volks bag with Komame on it, heh!)

    17. Dolls at the actual Dolpha are usually sanded and have the "better" faceups then dolls released through the AE and VolksUSA. So really the dolls directly from Dolpha are more finished. I mean there has to be a perk to actually attending the event and waiting in line for HOURS, right? My Amelia came directly from Dolpha through ria_ria I believe, so when she came home she has a gorgeous faceup and has been completely sanded and coated. She is amazing.
