Volks Dolpa SD17 Reisner Discussion

Okay, sooo... those new photos up on the Volks website were potentially very useful for guestimating his size, particularly the one from straight on that shows the full length of his body. Since he wears 16mm eyes and a 'DD' sized wig, I guessed his head was about the same size as Volks' recent heads. So I measured the visual height of my F-30, which was about 10cm.

Based on that picture he is 6.5 'heads' tall in total = 65cm

Being 65cm would make him taller than SD13 and Yukinojo (who is 64cm, I think? Could be wrong) but he would still look good in comparison to them. (I just can't visualize Volks inventing a new boy who totally towered over everyone else in his storyline!)

So... thats my guess! Give or take a bit. He might be 66cm even!

 

Really, You think the gloves might be fingerless?... They look like they have fingers to me... Either way, it's awesome he actuall has Gloves. I always wanted Gloves for one of my boy Ohhh Resiner please be Mine.... I really hope to God I win the volks Lottery. Though I didn't put all my eggs in one basket (I tryed both Dealers and will be trying the Lottery) I would still Love to win him through the Volks Lottery. Heck I don't care where I get him from just so long as I get him for Retail price and in absolute mint Condition

I'd love for him to be at least an inch or two taller then Yukinojo. That would just drive my lust over the edge for this boy... Who am I kidding. I'm about a week past over the edge for this boy

The SD16 is 65cm though, so he has to be taller to qualify as SD17? Or slightly taller, between the 65-70cm range. Or maybe it's his body specifications that makes him a SD17..... =______= Why name him a new category if he is same sized with the SD16? But then again Volks released so many SD16 clothes lately..............

 

I really think Reisner must be a 65-70cm young man ! ^_^
If he has to be Captain Cecil' shield, he must definitly be a little taller no ??? LOL

I wish I could go to the Dopla or try Volks USA lottery, but... well, I think my only options are AE and auctions... poor me !!! But I must bring this hotty home !!!!!!!!!!!

 

I really hope he is 65/66cm. Any taller than that and bleh... no. Bit too tall I think.

It is also entirely possible that maybe the SD16 boy body didn't get the response Volks was hoping for? (Maybe too bulky/thick?) So Volks are now trying a slimmer version of a similar body. Hence it being SD17... (instead of like, SD19.)

 

I agree, I hope not taller than 66cm. Otherwise he is too tall for my girls.

 

I don't think the SD17 will be towering out of proportion with the other boys. He fits in Isao's chair after all XD

Oh, that would be so perfect if he was 65-66 cm tall. And I think that there won't be a huge difference between him and an SD16, since it is only supposed to be one year difference in age, not three like from SD13 to SD16.

But I can't believe Volks is offering him to the retailers and STILL hasn't said how tall he is! I tried to talk myself out of him because he is SO expensive . . . but I still want him. I really hope I can get him from a retailer instead of the lottery and save myself over $100 in tax. >.<

 

Sigh Volks is trying send me into bankruptcy. So many cute dolls and clothes and so little dinero.

Looking at the page and show they show all of the services they have, I am amazed but where is the button to actually join the lottery? Or are they just teasing us again?

 

suppi ~ the lottery isn't open yet, I think they start accepting applications on the 4th (the day of the Dolpa). So yes, they are such teases!

 

I really love to get him but at this moment no money and going away for awhile. Hope to get him next year but I doubt he will still be available.

Does anyone know when they will start shipping out to customer if you win him in the lottery?

Dolls won in the Volks USA lottery usually take about, 6-8 weeks or so? It varies, and is more if you order esthetics services like sanding. People who won dolls from the LAST Dolpa's lottery are still waiting to receive their dolls, they're due to arrive around the end of April. ^^

The wait for Reisner is killing me, and I haven't even ordered him yet! >.< I won't know if I'm getting him through one of the retailers until just before the USA lottery starts -- I wish I knew if I had a chance even! But I don't want to be a pain by asking what # I was to request Reisner, they're probably very busy. ^^; *crosses fingers and toes* And good luck to everyone!
