Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD.     2. OMG! It was just announced in the other thread about Dolpa 17 that Reisner is right around 26inch (66cm) - so I was RIGHT! Fear my l33t doll measuring skillz. :lol:

      That means that SD16 and SD17 will be able to share clothing perfectly well.

    3. That is AWESOME news! Good guesstimate Kurosakura. :D I think that is a tiny bit taller than Yukinojou, wasn't he 64cm (26" = approx 66cm)? :? I don't remember. ^^; EDIT: Oops, they are both 65cm tall, according to Volks. :)

      Hmm . . . my sis had a Yukinojou for awhile, and he wasn't exactly easy to shop for clothes for, but he could wear SD13 boy tops pretty well. And he looks slimmer than SD16 boys so I think he may be able to share pants with them too . . . length aside. XD Dangit, now I wish I'd tried for "Joe's Dream Uniform" when i got my Shirou. My boy won't be a pirate, lol.

    7. But generally it seems like Volks makes the neck size the same on their dolls... so I imagine it will fit fine. I know that my FCS F-30 and both my SD16 Olivia and Amelia heads all have the same neck size.

    9. I love him already. :sweat He looks like a more 'mature' version of... Captain Cecile? O.o Not sure if I got it right, I'm still considered a newbie when it comes to ABJD, even in the case of Volks... which I learned a lot in the past year. I want him, but I'll never earn enough money in time for him and the party, not even the Dolpa in New York.

      Well anyway, I hope that whoever gets him enjoys his radiant beauty, because I do just looking at a digital image on a computer screen of him. =D -cries like the emotional fool I am-

      How can that guy stand in Cecils shadow -- he is taller than him. xD

      He is just awesome, I like him much more than the Sd16. Maybe Volks was a bit dissapointed with the SD16 body, so they tried again.. and TADA! Reisner was born. ;)

      I would love to get him, but he is really expensive and than + custom fees.. naaah... it's really a lot. Maybe I should only get his outfit. o_O

    11. in the Sato-gaeri Service options, what does "self standing parts" mean?

      also, do volks limiteds have sealed faceups? cause i've heard their normal dolls don't.

    14. Yes, kiradyn_rhiode is right, it means sueding. I have ordered it before and they do a great job. But this boy comes with kips, so why would you need sueding? Does anyone have a kips and sueded doll?

      I didn't realize their faceups weren't sealed, but I have a few Volks dolls and their faceups are still pristine.

    16. The newer dolls now come with their faceups coated, the most recent ones come with them coated with a UV protection coating. If you look at their profiles on superdollfie.net or on my Volks DB website, you can see which ones are and aren't coated:

      Just look under "Makeup".
      The earliest mention I can find of them coating faceups is March, 2006 (Hometown Dolpa Kyoto 4 and the Sato 2nd Anniversary Fair) and the earliest mention of them UV coating faceups is March, 2007 (Hometown Dolpa Osaka 3 and the Sato 3rd Anniversary Fair) -- so the UV coating is pretty new. :)

    18. My Amelia didn't need sueding at all. She's a champion stander. The only reason I could think of sueding for the larger boys is in the hips or torso where there are no discs?

    20. So how sad is it that I've now sketched out like a million pirate outfits? I want to learn to use silicone to make a rubber "octopus" mask so he can be Davy Jones. :XD: Maybe I can do something with leather instead. I'm obsessed with all things piratical now. Not that I wasn't before... but having Reisner as my wallpaper on my computer probably isn't helping. :sweat
