Volks fetish? (I hope nobody is offended by this)

I don't have a brand fetish, but I have a thing for the minis/tinies. The littler the better! I love their cute little faces and their cute little hands, and I love making them little tiny clothes.

 

Volks will forever be a symbol for BJDs for me. The first pictures of BJDs I have seen are Volks dolls. Whenever my friends ask me about BJDs, I show them Volks website. Their quality too, is undebatable.
But looking at things realistically now, I wouldn't say I love the Volks head molds as much as I love some other companies'. I am a sucker for new companies too, since I am always on the lookout for new dolls that are great. I have always loved Luts and DOD. More recently I have been in love with Crobidoll and Angell Studio. SOOM and Souldoll have wonderful artistic style as well. I am not a fan of any company exclusively. I pick my dolls mostly based on the face mold.
But I think I might get a Volks body for my future Yeon-ho.
I consider myself rather lucky that Volks dont particularly wow me as much given the prices of the SD17 limited. lol

 

i have a tendency to want every doll i see......
but i am thoroughly obsessed with doll zone dolls now.

 

I definitely have an Iplehouse fetish. Ever since I first saw the Iplehouse dolls, I knew I'd have to have one(if not more) one day. I have one now, and he is just SO beautiful. I admire the artistic detail that goes into those dolls so much, and the aesthetic of their faces and bodies are just so lovely... it's almost like they created a line of dolls specifically for me. That's how perfect each of their molds looks to me.

Besides brand, I also have a thing for boy dolls and the mini size.

 

BlueFairy is the company I love Such cute moulds and their WS is so lovely ><;;;; It's probably the company that I follow intently (besides MinoruWorld but they are similar lol). My second or thrid company would probably be Peak's Wood. Sadly there aren't many photos of them here, but there's a lot in the Korean doll clubs :3

I like looking at Volks dolls, but there hasn't been any mould by them that I have considered to buy.

 

The only Volks head mold that i truely like is Okita Souji so far. Having said so, i admit that i've seen some extremely beautiful Volks dolls here on DOA with custom faceups. But Volks does not seem to attract me that much with all its sculpts. I like a variety of dolls from different companies, my doll wishlist has dolls all over the place. But recently, i find that i'm almost attract to all the heads made my Alice in Labyrinth. I just feel they are so special, different, yet utterly handsome and cute

 

so far it's pipos dolls i just love the kitties. though, i feel i may have to get me a 'mini me' XD

 

I'm in love with Musedoll's sculpts- while there are a number of other beautiful molds out there (that I drool over here on DOA, mostly) the Musedoll ones are the only ones that I feel the urgent need to bring home.

Edit: and pukipukis. Can't forget their tiny but unbreakable hold on my heart!

 

I have Volks fetish too I would say, 8 of my 10 BJDs are from Volks. After Volks I would say I really like Puki (although I don't own one yet) I have been admiring them for a long time.

 

So soomed! I love their sculpts. First it was Godo that enticed me to the BJD in the first place. I have also admired a coulple other gems from afar.

Then the monthly dolls came out...

....I am surely in trouble!

/Deffinitely guilty of having a Volks fetish.
Though I do have one CP doll atm, and have an Elfdoll on the way, but the rest are Volks and I plan on getting a bunch more ^^;;

 

Yes, I have had Volks fetish ever since I got started in this hobby about... 6-7 years ago
The first bjd's I saw were Syo and Myu. I remember that when I started, there weren't other companies like there are today.
Luts was just getting started as a small company with Ari and Soo.
Three dolls I favor the most are made by Volks. Not that I don't like my other dolls, I just find myself spending more time with my Volks dolls.

 

I bought Korea brand doll when I first start my hobby.

But when I have my first Volks doll,I decided to give up the other Korea dolls.
I sold them all.

I buy volks doll only,except my animal dolls(rabbit and cat),volks haven't got animal doll right now.

Not a Volks fetish, but a DOD one. Half of the dolls on my 'planned' list are from them. My first doll was from them, and I love his resin and the style of the sculpting (though I admit I prefer their older faceups) and everything else. Basically, I like what they've got and know the quality and whatnot so I'd probably buy from them before anyone else if I could.

I'm not above buying from other companies though. DOD was the first company I was introduced to and the first company I ever bought from, and will probably get my first MSD from them too. They have a special place in my heart.

I don't quite understand all the rage about Volks, but their sculpts just aren't for me. Someday I'd like to have a doll from each of the major companies, but I'm not going to buy something I would nitpick all the time.

 

I used to have a lot of different brand BJDs. But after about 1 years, obvious a lot of them start to yellowing, which annoied me a little bit. And after I had my first Volks doll, I am totally into Volks, and I'll have to addmint that right now, I really I am a Volks Fetish ^^ especially for Volks Girls.

I can't say I'm a Volks fetish though most of my dolls are from Volks. I still collect non-Volks sculpts as long as I find them match my likings. But I have to admit, IMHO, that Volks's quality is far superior.

 

Bluefairy for me. All the way. I already have one one of their dolls and already have 2 more on my want list. I just adore their little faces and how childlike they are. Its just too adorable. And I love their resin. Such a healthy pinky color.
Other than that, the only other dolls I would want would be Unoa Sist and a Shushu (or similar sculpts from fairyland)

 

Nope. Not a 'fetish' for Volks or any other company really. The most I have are two dolls from the same company, but they are the only dolls from that company I'd ever want enough to own myself. Otherwise I usually find one doll or two from each company that I come across that I really love, but I'm not like some where a majority of a company's dolls will call out to me.

I would say that some of the websites I continually come back to are Elysium, Little Monica, DiMDoll and Crobidoll/Dreaming Doll as they have the style and look of dolls that most appeal to me, but even then there are still only one or two from them that truly tugs at my heartstrings. Pluto Doll (or is it Planet Doll? ) has one of the cutest minis for sale as well and I'm still crossing my fingers they'll make an SD head soon. Overall I would say these companies all have the type of features that I have a 'fetish' for, but not one company I can pinpoint exactly as being my favorite.

 

I've yet to find myself attracted to any of the Volks dolls. Perhaps I'm strange. I do, however, covet a crap-load of Dollzone dolls. XP Yes they're cheaper, which is a plus for me, but I find the faces more attractive than the ones for most other companies. So far I only have one DZ boy, but there are several more in the plan! X3
