Hey everyone! There is a white skin Shiku on the Yahoo auction but it’s the first time I’ve ever seen a plate like this “CPG/R 02”. Anyone knows what does that mean? Here is the link below

@amenba I was wondering too. Apparently the head is not originally white skin, but fair skin painted white by the faceup artist. What a mysterious girl!

 

Yep, that's one of my friends' doll. She is an original Shinku and was whole head airbrushed to white.

Regarding the Shinku, I am a bit confused about it airbrushed, and yet the cap (with the plate attached), is perfectly white and smooth. I've never seen someone skin match a headcap and so seamlessly but maybe this artist is really skilled!
Furthermore, if the skin color is changed, why not show the photos of the inside of the head? I feel additional photos would give any potential buyer more confidence!

That’s what I am confused about too! The seller made this Shinku so mysterious lol.

My translator just worked right finally. I noticed she wrote that the whit skin was airbrushed. I just want to say the faceup artist is truly skilled!

 

Is there any other Shinku was painted whole head white? The paint job was done by Korean artist Manamori(reminiscence), quite good though.

 

Is anyone tried volks head with Doll Family A or H bodies? (I'm looking 65~ 70cm)

 

@ranggi Was there a specific head you had in mind or would any Volks' head do?

@Ebisama Ah! I see that now that the head molds are different! I was drawn to the arms and straight legs (vs the curled ones) and the fact that they both came with blond wigs. I wish Volks would make a database or a book with them (actually all their dolls) just so people would know all the different ones that were ever released. I suppose that will change again because Volks is revamping the rei and sei tenshi after April Dolpa.

In summary, new doll releases are now limited preorder instead of on the spot sales (so Max, Regulus, Utena, Anthy) and most outfit sets intended to be released will not be sold due to production delays. They are offering refunds to those who want them.

The after event date has been pushed out a month from April 30th to May 29th - also due to the production delays.

@abs2891 Thanks for the update! Too bad about production delays! These things happen. I couldn't see but I'm wondering if the dolls will also be a preorder in the AE?

 

Nothing on how they’ll be sold for the after event yet. Dollpa is still limited so, first come, first serve to the sale limit they have set. Right now I’m guessing the online sales for the new SDs will be like last summer - a limited preorder that switches to lottery if orders exceed production, which is almost guaranteed. Utena and Anthy might be click wars - but they’re also going to VolksUSA so we will see. (No indication the SD17s are coming to USA store.)

Would love to proven wrong with an unlimited preorder though. Saw more pics today and both the new boys are gorgeous

 

'Fingers crossed for the pre-order, if only because my luck with lotteries is so utterly terrible... Seriously. My lottery luck's badness is surpassed only by my even worse track record with click-wars.

The date of announcement is really badly timed, though. Usually it is by the end of the month. I just hope the amount will not be withdrawn from my bank account at the beginning of april in case I don't win. (My CC company always withdraws the amounts from past month on the first day of next month) This would really suck since I would have to wait one more month for it to show up again on my bank account. I'm wondering if the amount will not be withdrawn and stay "reserved" on the card instead until the results are out?
