Well that's my entry in for Regulus. I decided against entering for Maximillian as well, and since my US proxy isn't able to enter for the US lottery this time, it's my one shot...

Regulus entered for! Had issues with several cards, like usual, but it’s done.
Seriously debating also entering for Maximilian, but I still want to enter the USA lottery for Regulus.

 

I'm baffled as to why Volks thought a simultaneous click war for resin, vinyl and clothes was a good idea, but I guess they must have thought staggering the release times was a bad idea after the one time they did it? Eternal mysteries.

 

Same. I literally only got Utena because one of my friends was able to get in and get checked out with her for me. I sat around refreshing two computers and a phone for 40 minutes without any luck lol.
It's such a shame, staggering releases would do wonders. Traffic eased up a little after Ernest sold out in the first five or so minutes, and then it started to get better after about a half an hour, but I still couldn't actually get through the payment process.
Even a lottery entry period overloads their server when it opens, so why would they think a clickwar for all three was a good idea.

 

Must have taken me 18+ tries to get checked out.

Urd dressed Bell today; not to her usual tastes, but she seems to be having fun with it.

 

Entry in for Regulus. Now to hope my abysmal Volks luck finally breaks.

 

I barely managed to get Ernest. I think I refreshed about 200 times within those first 4 minutes. What a nightmare!

After 2 hours, 2 different cards, volks site issues (recent maintenance), calling my bank twice, and setting up a virtual card I finally entered the international lottery for Regulus . Going to enter the USA one when it opens too hopefully it wont be this much trouble lmfao

 

Volks USA doesn't require upfront payment for lottery entries, so all you need is a working computer and a Volks USA account. They also take PayPal as a payment option.

 

Volks Japan also doesn't require upfront payment. Yes, they will do an authorization on your credit card, but that authorization will fall off your account and free up your funds in 2 to 3 business days, if Volks Japan doesn't send in the settlement record. Which they won't, since they can only do if they are actually shipping a doll to you.

 

Is it true for debit cards too?

 

The international website has a statement that debit cards don't always work with their system, so it's generally not recommended to use them.

 

More Belldandy. I like to dress my character dolls in things that are OOC sometimes. That's part of the fun of these dolls.

 

@BeyondTime Belldandy is always beautiful, no matter how she's styled! She's my favorite sculpt - so never tire of seeing her out and about.

 

Belldandy . She's so beautiful and a grail of mine. I think this style looks great on her actually and I agree there's something interesting about dressing characters in unusual styles (unusual for them).

While I am waiting for the next three weeks in horrible anticipation, I was lucky to bring home this Cristal one off boy this weekend. He's still in need of a name

 

She's very versatile for sure. This is one from a few years ago. She generally seems to look good in black, but also dark blues and reds.

 

Its the same for debit cards.

A lot of banks (USA), have a daily limit set on debit cards usually under $1000.00 and higher fraud filters set. So when Volks goes to process the payment the transaction will most likely get declined. It will probably get flagged as a fraudulent transaction.
Plus you will pay a foreign transaction fee. You should use a credit card that waives foreign transaction fees. Plus you have better protection using a credit card vs a debit card. ( I work in the credit card industry, LOL)

 

I paid by debit card for my lottery entry (I have a credit card, but the limit on it is quite low) and the money is pending, but it hasn’t gone through where later transactions have, so it’s basically the same. I don’t normally use my debit card directly for big transactions like this, but it was my only option this time (I paid for my Williams lottery win in 2017 via PayPal), and I’ve made enough orders from Volks in the past with no issues.

I had to authorise it with my card reader, but that was all.
