Volks Super Dollfie - SD, SD13, SD16, SD17, SDGr, SDGou & FCS - XXXII

Ups tried to deliver my girl today, but I was at work….so they have taken her to the auto store? XD

I am currently packing for a convention, so after I hit the road I am going to see if I can snag her on the way lol.

 

Time to introduce Olivier my F-31 (currently not wearing his elf ears). I bought him second hand a few years ago, and now he's all put together on a stolen body.

@St. James Thank you! @mx_95 / aridede did his face up. I gave her a rather vague idea of what I wanted. I had a sort of forest creature vibe for him like a little Sprite or Brownie or something. Well she went above and beyond, and after words I thought well I guess I'll need to upgrade you to a runway elf.

While I have his original SD13 body I decided to try him on the Miracledoll body I got for my LLT Edria. I'm actually sad he looks so good on it, because now I think I'm going to have to buy him one.

And, the suit is so cute. The green ended up matching his eyes perfectly. Speaking of eyes, they came with him when I bought him. Did Volks ever make thin flat back glass eyes? These green ones are so pretty and catch the light nicely I wish I could find the maker. They don't have any markings on them that I can see.

 

It's possible the eyes are old Zoukeimura They were still an option when F-31 was first added to FCS and the apple green color was one of the most popular colors.

 

@St. James Thanks! That's what I thought. Everything else that came with him was also all Volks stuff.

 

Volks newsletter, they will have a one off lottery in June. GL members can enter. I definitely will try for Luna, Lieselotte and Suigintou.

He looks amazing! Lovely styling too! Is that heeled feet he has? I didn’t think miracle doll made heeled feet for boys (or maybe I’m not looking hard enough haha).

 

@mx_95 Thanks! I have a love hate relationship with this body. Love the aesthetic, but hate the hips. I'm going to have to suede and wire them.

@RebelViva These are the regular flat feet. The ankles have a decent range of motion, and the shoes heels aren't particularly high so the feet were able to fit in them just fine.

I have a question. One of my buddies entered for Michele but some reason their order isn't under lotteries but is under website orders listed as "under arrangement" and is "preparing to ship." Is this a normal issue within the Volks JP site? I so rarely use it and the times I have my entries always go under the lottery listings.

 

I don’t think it’s an issue - just a difference in how volks is doing certain lotteries now. The only doll I didn’t enter for was Michelle - but Regulus, Max and Rigel are all in my order history, not under lottery history. It might have to do with the fact that we “pay” (the charge falls off in a few days and then comes back on if you win) when we enter?

 

Ah, okay! I'll let my friend know and now I know if I decide to enter for anything. We knew they hadn't won or anything, but it was just sort of confusing. Thank you for answering!

 

I've joined you other misguided misfits in thinking I could win Regulus. I sure hope someone here gets him! Went over the top & entered both Japan + USA. So I can be double-disappointed.
Has anyone ever successfully explained to a 'civilian' about how we fight to enter a lottery to win the privilage of buying something expensive?

Anyhow, good luck to us all. Maybe there will be more shadowskin men than we think.

 

Had a brief hiatus while I got acclimated to my new house but finally felt inspired to drag my girls around yesterday!

@Roterwolkenvogel I'm in the same boat getting used to a new house...my dolls are in their new room (yes, I now have a doll room!), but I am so short on spoons after the move, that I haven't taken them out to play yet.

I'm planning on building a database so want to photograph each one then input details of when I got them and from whom - if I can remember!

 

@Alice80 congrats on the doll room! But yeah the spoons part is real, I moved August LAST YEAR and am only now able to concentrate on my dolls again
