Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD.     1. I usually just toss the head plate in with the paperwork - I’ve tried hot glue, super glue, white glue etc and they always pop off again eventually.

    3. The major difference is the new body does not have the strange/useless/frustrating separate ball in the neck. It prevents silicone disks from gripping and cause the head to snap down all the time.

      Every Volks body type has an annoying engineering problem, but at least it's only one!

    11. Hyde looks very cool! He reminds me a bit of the F-16/28/Sch A/Lucas family and also a little of the old DoT's! Sadly, not a member and sounds like the fan club will pick his winners so maybe just really hardcore fans will get it? Not new accounts. Ah well!

    13. VolksUSA emailed me first thing Monday morning and fixed my issue! Now I'll just spend the next month being terribly indecisive. I'm considering H-04 and H-17, but if anyone's found any hidden gems I'd love to hear about them.

      Also one more weird thing I (didn't) notice. My doll has no new resin smell. That probably isn't good or bad but it definitely strikes me as strange.

      As for headplates, is there a good way to get them off safely or do I just have to wait until it happens? I want to put mine in a baggie with her paperwork because I know it's going to fall off the first time I bring her outside for photos and I'll never see it again.

      Hyde is fun! I hope they keep this up and make some more vkei boys. I'm glad there's more than 31 this time! Maybe they'll make an official Gackt so we can have arguments about Mana and Gackt like we used to.

    15. I’ve popped headcaps in freezers and then used a dull item (like a chopstick) to pop them off by gently prying on one side. It’s sadly super easy.

For the SDGr Hyde, I tried to sign up for the Vamprose account they reference in the buying instructions... but when I try to edit my personal info in my Vamprose account (to match what Volks will cross reference), it asks for a Postal Code and Prefecture, and it seems all you can select are locations in Japan... so I'm assuming he's a Japan only release? :pout: Not sure if anyone else has tried to set something up to get him, but if there are any work arounds I'd appreciate any advice...

    19. Can’t speak for Hyde specifically, but generally, Japanese fan clubs almost always require you to live in Japan - some might let you register with a proxy address so you could try that, but yeah… most likely his fanclub is Japan only which would in turn make the doll Japan only.

      Edit: Skimming though the FAQ for the Hydeist fanclub it looks like they require a Japanese address for mailing of items - you could try a proxy address and it might work but can’t guarantee it

    20. @abs2891 : That's what I figured honestly... when I logged into the website, everything was in Japanese. I was translating on my phone... so it didn't seem like it was an international club. :( Oh well, would love to try for one... and most definitely not looking forward to the 2nd hand pricing based off the elusive Mana-sama release. Might investigate proxy services like you said, but I'll just start the process of grief and acceptance now lol

      I have an SD13 Shiro Tachibana on his way to me (thanks Mandarake... =_= ) that can comfort me! hehe
