Volks Super Dollfie - SD, SD13, SD16, SD17, SDGr, SDGou & FCS - XXXIV

Ahhhh! The GL/VIP blog has teaser photos of the SDs for Kyoto Dolpa. There's SD17 Genji, SDGr Lady Fujitsubo (who might be WS?), and SD Lady Murasaki (the character, not the author). I can't wait to see more of them!

 

I have never been this excited for a doll release

 

I’m worried Lady Fujitsubo might have the tiny chin that Yumepi had… but Lady Murasaki/Murasaki no Ue looks a little bit like Sapphire? The one-photo spoilers are both tantalizing and frustrating!!!

 

Double posting but lots of Bisque announcements today. I wonder how much of the Bisque-owners-only event/outfits/items is them catering to the locals/frequent-buyers complaining about how too many people own Bisques now… Volks sure does make it hard to like their business choices sometimes! The new FFXIV DDs are preorder… I hope Volks does more resin preorders and less of the exclusive/preying-on-fomo stuff!

 

I definitely think that the clothes issue is one of the reasons they haven't made one yet.

I would say the Kondo Isami, and Claude sculpts are pretty mature. I think Ludo could also work on a larger body.

I'm both happy and devastated. I was just wondering if we'd ever get a Bisque boy, and a Seirei body is the next best option. But, I'll never get my hands on one.

ooo two girls for the tale of genji series! Murasaki has such a gentle beauty to her. I can't wait to see clearer photos of her face to get a good look at her sculpt.

The Cruise dolls are posted! Reisner and a new SD16 gal, Abelia. It's also possible to find scans of the Volks News. I wish Volks would just post everything from Volks News online! But they unintentionally ddos themselves every time they release outfits/dolls/etc, so...

 

She looks great with Bangs. She's cute with her default, but she looks more mature with this wig. It's like the difference between a young teen and an older teen.

The bisque Sakaki and those pointed feet I've been wishing that Volks would release a bisque boy, but I'll accept if Sakaki is the closest we'll get lol.

 

Sakaki is to die for. So gorgeous.

 

I noticed looking at Volks News 104 scans that the fluffy penguin kigurumi outfits are labelled as 25th Anniversary Best Selection, which means they were chosen as a result of the polls from last year. That means they are (I think?) the first SD related item rerelease for this round of Best Selection. I’ve been trying to keep track of the releases the polls resulted in on the DD side, as they had their own set of anniversary polls (this current issue also has the DD Best Selection rerelease - Kaede from Idolm@ster).
So I’m hoping that we will see the actual SDs chosen for Best Selection rereleases soon as well! Maybe December…? I’m so curious about who won in the different categories. It’s still a bummer to me that it was only for the past 5 years, but there was still some nice dolls in those 5 years.
