So awesome to see so many winners!! This release was truly a dream come true to me so I am mystified by (but grateful for) the seeming "low popularity". As in, not super high prices on Y!J and a good win rate. This is a good thing! More dolls for those that actually want them and availability for more people!

I also won Fujitsubo I can't wait!! Now just hoping I didn't also win the JP lottery

 

I won Fujitsubo and Murasaki! I think a lot of people are entering for the JP ones because of currency rate ^^;
I'd be interested in seeing how the win rate is like for the international site.

 

Congrats, everybody! Is the USA lottery always before the Japan/international lottery? I haven't paid attention to one since my Shiro Tachibana (2012 I think eeek). Really hoping the win rates are good for jp/international as well, I'm so hopeful I get them.

 

I vaguely remember the USA lottery results being after International's before, but it's been at least a few years since Regulus for me.

 

I was surprised that Volks USA's lottery was before the Volks Japan lottery this time, so I guess they wanted to change things up a little

The Volks Japan lottery results should start coming out August 29 Japan time, so in the US we may see email notices sometime on August 28.

Won Genji! I wonder if Volks produced a lot this time or there were fewer entries. This is only my second time winning a Volks lottery, am pretty thrilled (:

 

I won Genji but not Fujitsubo. Genji was who I wanted to win most so I'm happy, but now I might have to find another girl to get to fill the hole haha (I've already put the money aside so....). I was a bit surprised to get an email saying I hadn't won Fujitsubo, I thought you'd just not receive an email at all!

 

With such high win rates, I bet there will be extra girls hitting the marketplace as soon as they start to deliver, if your heart is specifically set on Fujitsubo!

 

I won Murasaki! I'm so excited – I've wanted a doll in Heian clothes for ages

 

And I just now also got a notice for Fujitsubo from Volks USA! I guess someone didn't want theirs. Wow, this is the best I've ever done on a lottery--two Heian girls! Very excited!

 

does volks ever have the dolls in stock after a lottery or does that only happen with preorders? I want a Murasaki so bad ToT

 

@Kayble Yes, that's happened a few times. If Volks has more dolls then the number of people who put in for the lottery for them, then the rest go up for sale as in-stock.

Has anyone else not had the charge go back on their credit card yet from their win? I wonder if it will go out when they're shipped. I told my bank about the potential charge when I entered but there was a bit of a hiccup so I'm a bit gun shy now haha.

 

@whisperingtree I've had it take a few days after a win. I'd suggest contacting Volks through their site (I know this is possible with the JP/International site, US might be different) to confirm

I'm tempted to think that those high win rates might be due to less demand overall O__Ô.
It's not a very safe investment for scalpers anymore it seems, at least I've noticed more and more LE dolls on all online marketplaces and people don't snatch them up as fast as they used to do before. Sure, there are still some sculpts people go crazy about, but it's not how it used to be a couple of years ago. I'm not complaining though, that way more and more dolls will go directly to the people who really wanted them. I just hope that Volks will make enough revenue so that they will continue creating their beautiful dolls.

 

I asked and they got back to me within the hour, far faster than I was expecting, so thank you for suggesting me ask! Apparently it's all good, just not showing up on my end yet, they said it can take a little while.

 

I do feel like the "fomo" hysteria has tapered off a decent amount recently, resulting in less lottery entries. I want to believe that people have simply become much more confident and careful about their collections; rather than automatically going for the hottest, new item, and buying without much thought.

It's a difficult market to manage, and Volks probably feels the whiplash. But they've always been good at forecasting their customer base and needs as a company, so it's not something they aren't used to.
