Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD.       Recently I had a kinda-sorta grail surprise. On a whim I entered the "Dollfie Best Selection" lottery for Isami Kondo during Volks Japan's 5th anniversary of their website renewal. I'd been on the fence about him for years, and thought nothing would come of it -- then I got the winning email! I suspect I was the only one who entered for him, lol.

      He came with this cute mini Volks shipping box (anniversary gift-with-purchase), which he thinks being made to carry it is an affront to his dignity :XD:

    4. OMG, that little Volks box is to die for. So many exciting grails coming home - congrats to you guys! It's so nice to see everyone so excited.

      I'm impatiently awaiting the after event for some of the non-BTSSB clothes, but I can't wait for (hopefully) a flood of Machas and Yumepis!

    7. I didn't have the money saved up during that FCS ordering period, hope to take advantage of the next one if not outright find a proxy for the FCS in Japan. Why do they only do the USA FCS for 10 day periods? It doesn't feel like enough time for such a non-regular event.

    9. I haven't been back on this forum in a long time, but I wanted to say that I got both Maacha and Yumepi :dance I used a proxy service and she got Maacha in-stock and Yumepi as preorder. I'm having Maacha shipped next year instead so that I don't risk her possibly getting lost in the nightmare of holiday shipping times lol

    11. I want Yumepi so badly, I might try to brave the lottery/clickwar/whatever will happen internationally. But I know both these dolls are insanely popular, so I don't have huge hopes of being able to snag her. The secondhand market is already crazy! I might have to content myself with owner photos.

      @eleniel congratulations on Yumepi! I still can't decide which of the two I like more, but her pinks are just too cute.

      @Captainnessbot they will be a lottery for sure, and there will also be an in-store After Event in Japan if you can try to reach out to a proxy for that attempt as well. I wish you luck!

    15. Congrats! @beamlette I had that experience in 2010 when I was living in Japan. It's sometimes easier if we fall in love with un-popular molds.

      I happened to be at Sato and dropped my slip into one of the one-offs and low and behold I won a Volks Tony! Looking back on it,: yeah, he was never that popular a mold (I don't think he's ever been reissued as anything other than a one-off???). So I suspect there were few or no other entries. Volks also went above and beyond to help me a foreigner who lived in Japan and knows *some* Japanese to complete my purchase. They actually called me and helped me sort out my membership before I completed the purchase and shipped him to me in Okinawa -a long way from Kyoto but still in Japan.

    20. I have a Ryoya Konoe head that used to have a SdgrB body but I'm thinking of getting him something more mature like the SD17. Given his age, I'll probably go for an older one for the resin match.
      How do you all like the SD17?
      If not, do you prefer the SdgrB or another body?
      And just seeing if there's any owners with a Ryoya on the SD17, I'd love to see him!
