Time to wait patiently till mid January. I'm kinda glad this is lottery, and not a click war. The btssb dresses though will probably crash the website.

 

I would love to bring these girls home. Sadly my wallet is drained from Christmas. I am on the fence about glitter makeup too. I voted for Macha in the best of the best. Is this the results from that?

I was wondering that too (and was also voting for Yumepi), but they’ve typically always indicated when the release was tied to Best of the Best voting with a logo - the recent DD releases that were related to the polls had the Best of the Best or DD anniversary logo visible, (ie Kaede 2nd its right there on her main image) but BTSSB Macha and Yumepi don’t seem to have that indication anywhere. So it must have been a release that was going to happen anyway?
If that’s so I’m so curious about who is actually winning the doll polls though, maybe they’ll have one of them in April?

Unrelated but the other day I got my Reisner! It was very exciting to go the SD cruise last month for his sake. I’m still deciding on his final look, so he’s hanging out in his fullset (which I kinda hate, because there’s so much pleather ) for a little bit longer.

 

Throwing a random question out there...
Does anyone know the story/lore behind the Ash Rose, White Rose, and White Lily (I feel like there was another set in the early 2000s) school outfits. I was just looking at them at got curious.

 

I got my girls and their outfits in the mail today! Right in time before I leave for a Christmas trip. They're SO precious I don't have words! I'm especially in love with Maacha, who I think is now one of my favorite girls of all time. I've been pretty disappointed by Volks' quality for quite a while now so I was nervous spending as much as I did getting them, but I actually have no real complaints. The quality of these BTSSB outfits is incredible. The boxes are the cutest shade of pink ever and their makeup is amazing. There's a little poor cutting on the wigs, but nothing is as bad as the Pink House one I'll be changing Yumepi's wig and eyes anyway.

All of these outfits are just perfect and so so so much more lovely in real life. I just want to take them everywhere with me!

I'm really not a fan of these wig stoppers, but I'm way too afraid to sand them off when the dolls are so limited like this. The one thing I have to say though is - I looked at the special Aurora painted hand parts for them and WOW I was not expecting them to be so expensive for what is realistically just some pastel blush and a bit of glitter. I have to debate if I want them at all now which sucks because I'm such a completionist when I'm this excited about something xD

 

@Littlebirdzoom Did their sculpt numbers change? Maacha and Yumepi without standard headcap are 218 and 219. I'd love to know if the new ones are after 235.

 

Seeing posts about some users pre ordering the BtssB dolls via proxy, I thought they were lottery only?

Definitely want to try for one of them, but I've never entered the lottery before.

 

If you attended DOLPA in Japan you could have bought them that day or pre-ordered. A lot of people paid proxys who attended Dolpa to get the doll for them as it was more "guaranteed" than the online lottery that's happening.

 

I don't know if anyone has mentioned this yet, but I just noticed it now, with my 117 and Murasaki out together. They both have the new headcaps with the wig stoppers... but also, both of their headcaps don't include a sculpt number. Instead, they each have a little letter A inside of a half-circle (which itself sort-of resembles a headcap). And, their headcaps are entirely interchangeable and identical. Murasaki's headcap fits perfectly on 117, and vice versa. I'm assuming that this is another part of the move toward the wig stopper tabs: to standardize headcaps. But, of course, I suspect now we must be careful not to mix them up, as without the plate, two headcaps marked A in the same resin color could easily be confused with one another!

 

@snowgray There is a small benefit to standardizing headcaps, but mixing them up isn't one of them! Maybe a matching piece of washi tape between the head and cap or over the plate would help you? Or just lightly writing 117 or Murasaki in pencil inside. I don't think there's been any releases with the same headplate and color yet. I can see it happening at some point in the future though. Also, Genji has headcap C, but I haven't seen anyone with headcap B.

 

@nyaaain, fortunately my 117 is tan and Murasaki is fair, so I won't get them mixed up... but I can foresee a future with other dolls where I do! If Genji is C, is Fujitsubo also A? Does anyone with Diligent Scholar Williams or Elizabeth know which headcaps they are (assuming they're similarly marked, since they were the debut of the headcap ledges)?

@snowgray Elizabeth is also A from what I've seen online. Genji must just have a big noggin? Or small? SDGrB Will is just over 9 inches for wig size. I have to wonder if any of the recent FCS heads have B or C, but people aren't posting about it a lot so it might take a long time to find out.

 

I have both diligent scholar Williams and Elizabeth, and I admit I mixed up their head caps when I was taking out their hot glue! Luckily, they have the same head plate, so no harm done, but I definitely had an "oh no" moment when I realized I couldn't tell them apart!

 

I just checked my Alto, and it's head cap A.

 

What are everyone’s big hopes and dreams for new releases in 2025? I’m dreaming that there will finally be a tan SDGr girl! Or SDGr girl body joining FCS… Similarly, I hope we’ll see Jasmine or maybe Moana in the Disney lineup?
