1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

I wasn't planning on getting a new doll this year but someone was letting her go for such a good price that I couldn't resist! Her name is Momiji, she's a default DearSD SwD Nana on an SD10 body in PSF. I'll eventually get her a new faceup but I am surprised by how nice the default one is. I haven't purchased a default doll or any doll in over a decade! Happy to share her and to finally have a friend for my doll, Midori, who I've owned for 14 years this July.

    4. Hi, all! Everyone has such gorgeous dolls!!

I'm about to join the community of Volks owners for the first time, and I'm so excited. I'm getting a DWC03 head and an SD10 body from two sellers on the Marketplace, and I'm eager to get her, piece her together, and figure out her vibe!

Does anyone have any experience with putting wire in the elbows of the single joint SD10 body to increase the posability? I've had success with wiring single joints in MSDs, but haven't tried the larger scales.

    5. @Daeriel Congrats on your incoming Volks doll. The DWC heads are great I have a DWC1 head on a SDGr girl bod and love her.

As to your question about wiring. I only ever felt the need to wire my old F15's legs when she was on the oldresin body with the big hip balls. The arms of the SD10 if strung tight enough hold pretty good poses. There is also the option of kips disks (small foam or silicon washer you slip in the joints during stringing to help hold a pose. They are most useful with the SDGr girl necks, but can be used in arms. You string a part then slip the kips over the string cord then string the next resin part to make a joint. The most common location in arms would be shoulders, then elbows.

    6. Oh, okay, great! Thank you for your insight! I've heard that Volks tend to be good at holding poses, but I wasn't sure if that was just the updated bodies.

My head and body are both (incredibly) scheduled to arrive on Saturday, and I'm excited to actually play with one for myself soon and see!

    7. @Daeriel Congrats on your incoming girl! Volks dolls are very stable standers, and a bit of wire can make their single jointed posing very strong. I have single-jointed MSDs, and a friend has 1/3 dolls with wired legs who can squat free-standing. Wiring the arms helps the doll hold them up for longer and bear weight if you like your dolls to carry things.
Your mileage may vary on kips: they are prone to getting sucked into the doll's body at the shoulders and arm joints, which some people don't enjoy and prefer to use hot glue sueding.
I do recommend putting a kip at the top of the neck – the increased friction gives the doll better head posing and means the head is less likely to snap to whatever position it likes.
Best of luck with your new arrival :love

    8. I used to like using a KIP for the top of the neck, but I found that the KIP was always getting sucked into the head hole, and interfering with the head position and stability. This meant taking off wigs and heads, which is especially annoying when the doll wears a wig that is a pain to get back on and adjusted :sweat Glue-sueding for neckholes is more reliable.

For arms I prefer the KIPs. I've found it easy to pull on the arm elastic and pop the KIPs back in place. Sometimes a KIP will go further in, so I use the Yo-size head pull tool to fish them out.

    10. The Volks JP memorial one-offs lottery will start soon and it's open to global customers too. So many beautiful dolls.

I can't remember if you can apply for multiple one-offs?
Or am I just stuck to one per my account?

I'm thinking I can apply for one, checkout that 'lottery sale' and then go back and start over, with a new cart, and added another one-off?
But I think that might be against the rules.

    11. You're allowed to apply for multiple dolls! You just can't put in multiple entries for the same doll.

    12. Thank you for clarifying :) !

    13. Dropping in to show off my as of yet unnamed DWC03! She arrived last weekend, and I've spent the past week working on an updated faceup, sewing her something to wear, trying out wigs and eyes, and generally obsessing over her!

I was a little worried that I would be disappointed with her posability compared to my Feeple60 girl, but I'm actually really loving the way she moves and holds positions!! She's got silicone kips in her joints and hot glue in her neck to help, but I think she'd be more solid than most of my dolls even without that.

    14. @ame_hime

I love her faceup so much! She is so demure and stunning. I wish Volks produced more tan dolls outside of FCS because it's such a pretty color!

      @Daeriel

I love how you styled her and the posing is so good. I may need to use hot glue for my girls too.

    15. @ame_hime : No you didn't just make me just fall in love with a sculpt that I had no intention of every owning! Gah!! She is beautiful, and that faceup is perfection on her. :blush

@Daeriel : Congrats on your lovely girl! She looks so sweet, lovely faceup on her.

    16. @ame_hime, thank you for sharing your Topaz! I'm glad to see someone else likes Tan resin; it's my favorite Volks resin color. The Romantic face-up is truly romantic. I wish we could see more owner pics here of Topaz and Emerald, both with Volks face-ups, and custom face-ups, too.

Here are my Topaz and Emerald. Topaz is Amber resin with Dark face-up, Emerald is Tan resin with Sultry face-up.

    17. @beamlette Two lovely girls, and the Amber resin is stunning :love (must resist the urge to do USA FCS through a proxy for Amber...my wallet...)

    18. I was wondering if you could help me, I have just bought a F62 and I am unsure what size eyes she uses?

    19. @Kaname Kimura F-62 is probably a bit on the smaller side – the FCS handbooks has her in 18/9 (18mm eye, 9mm iris) eyes.
I did see one on my trip to Japan with 16mm eyes (Zoukeimura) too
