hi everyone! I really love shoes meant for high heeled feet but have SD10/13 bodies. So I was wondering if any of you know any way of making it possible for my dolls to wear high heeled shoes? Maybe any high heeled feet from other companies that work with SD's? or is my only option buying graffiti girl and sd16 bodies?

 

SD 13 Elizabeth got high-heeled feet with her high heeled shoes, and I believe many people are selling that body separately in second-hand market. (The head sculpt alone is just too beautiful even when you are not a big fan of high heeled ) If what you are looking for is a SD 13 body in ps white skin, now is a good chance.

I use the 10/13 high heel feet with Melody.C SD16 shoes and they work too! The only issue is that you’ll need to use a stand as the balance is not the best.

 

I'm slowly going through my dolls and letting some go (due to space and financial things coming up soon), and it gave me a great time to compare the different styles of Volks sculpts. In particular, how melon some of these heads are. I look at Ducky (f-22) and her head is huge compared to my Lieselotte. Any other melon heads out there?

 

Awww!!! Seeing her melon head made me want an F22 even more so stinking cute!!!
Although the facial proportions are different, my Nono and 102's heads look roughly equal in size.

 

My newly arrived old F-07 is Princess Melonhead! Giant eyewells (she's wearing 20mm here and nothing smaller will work), and a big ol' noggin that took me about 10 tries to get her wig on. Though that was what inspired me to make her a mischievious little alien

 

Recently i received my Tohya head that was painted by a dear friend of mine, today i had the chance to take a group photo of her and my other girls ^_^

 

It's been forever since I've posted here .... Here is a photo of my newest member, F-97 (DearSD Lana who followed me home form Dolpa 50) but she's stolen Sophie's body.

Just popping in to ask if anyone has heard any information I've missed about SD16 girls? I sometimes see them as FCS, but I never see the option in the handbook and they didn't do any FCS SD16 last year for us. I'm scared they'll discontinue the line. Does anyone know how to get a hold of them, or are we just limited to second hand bodies now and limited release splits?

 

There hasn't been any announcement one way or another - last year VolksUSA was migrating their site, so that's likely the case. I'm also waiting on an SD16 FCS so I feel your pain!

 

I wouldn't worry about them being discontinued – Volks don't seem to discontinue anything permanently. The SD13B body was discontinued, but the GrB revival body is a very similar double-joined upgrade. There hasn't been a SDC release since 2017 and that line isn't considered discontinued.
Volks just seem to do things their own way without regard for market trends.

I'm already sad enough as it is how difficult it is to dress them - I wish the size was more popular. So I'm glad there hasn't been some discontinuation announcement that I missed somewhere.

 

Hey folks, I need a refresher, what wigs typically fit well on Volks SD-SDGR girls? Is it 9-10 in?

 

It really depends on which head. Some of them wear 9-10” and some are better fit with 8-9”.

The vast majority of SD girls wears 9-10. I only have one SDGrG girl that wears 8-9 (Belldandy). So 9-10 is your best bet unless you know her head is relatively narrow.
