Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD.       The Yoshitoku girls have new glass(?) eyes that are printed and also follow at angles. There's a warning about certain eye putties damaging the eyes? I'm really curious how they made these out of glass. Are they just printed and glued to cabochons??? That'd be so disappointing. The outfits for these girls are super cute!! I love the blue one!

      Oh no... I really like Reda Venir AND, unexpectedly, the girls. I respect the recent Volks girls but the :o faces usually just don't work for mex despite thinking they're cute. But combined with those outfits and tiny plushies...! I just imported a bunch of photo books of Showa-era toy and graphic design, they got me right in a recent weakness...

    4. They are both incredibly cute, though I agree on what was previously said, they do not remind me much of May/Mina.
      Yet I'm tempted to get one so my SDC Mina could have a bigger sister.

    6. Man, I'm definitely curious about these new 'Illustiris' eyes. It's true that some of the cheaper follow-me eyes are basically just printed images on the back of cabochons, but the ones in the new girls don't look like that - but, then, I don't know how much work careful photography is doing here. I want to see more pictures. And owner pictures.

    7. I keep going back and forth on these girls because on one hand, Mina is truly adorable even if she looks like a Maacha/F-100 cross and she has my faaaavorite eye shape for girls, but on the other hand, I have been so hesitant with Volks quality lately. Looking up close on some of the images of Mina and May, there are huge gaps (not shadows or plastic) between the eye and the eye wall. The eyes look like they might be set back farther into the head to add to the effect, but it looks odd. You can also see the plastic(?) layer over the eye in one of the angles before the gap, so I wonder if the way they made the eyes was printing on glass and putting a plastic cap on it? Very very interesting. I need to know xD

      As for Reda. I'm so mad about him. I want him. Why is this happening xDD I have enough boys... but maybe room for one more :XD:

I find Mina really charming, I know everyone is saying she looks like another sculpt but since I don't pay a lot of attention to girl releases I have no idea, sure it could be the eyes and the vintage styling - but I like her. My favorite clothing sets are the yellow that May comes with and the blue dress with the cat plush, I would be cool if you could choose which you wanted as the fullset.

      I also like Reda but I already have a somewhat neglected Regulus (love the doll, he finally has an outfit but he needs a proper wig), I really don't have reason or room for a new doll.

    10. The showa outfits are indeed super cute - especially those pink boots! The only thing bothering me is the pink tights for May's yellow outfit. At first glance it looks like she has a bad rash on her legs *_* I can't unsee it.

    11. @beamlette - I was also surprised that Regulus was making a comeback so soon! He must have been really popular the first round for them to bring him back. I adore mine, so I hope others who didn't grab him the first round get snatch him up this round. I'm curious if the 'teeth' he has in this round are just a painting difference or if they actually changed his mold up...

      The other boy is also very handsome - but I probably will not jump on him. I am trying to save up for the LA Dolpa so I need to be good. The girls are very lovely - I agree with others that they look more like Maacha and Yumpei. It would have also been cool (if they are basing them off of Mina and May) if they had a little green themed outfit for this one. It's my favorite color, and I think Volks could have done a super cute pastel green set for one of them to match the original SDC releases better, but the yellow is cute too. Hope everyone who wants one is able to win easily. :)

    12. Oh Regulus, you've come back to haunt me! I suppose, after waiting so long and then finding just his head, I might get lucky in finding a body for my poor boy Reg, when someone wants to rebody the new head! I can only hope!

      I'll only be able to enter for the new lad if I have a lottery win, otherwise one body and 2 heads might have been the way to go...:whee:
