Doll tax! I took my girls to the London Fashion Doll Fair at the weekend and the theme was 80s. I bought Maddie a cheap wig off AliExpress to help achieve the big hair look, and I actually really like how it looks on her.
I would love to see pictures of sd16 dolls - especially sunlight/amber skin dolls - from the last USA FCS... owners, can I see your pictures?
Magdalena is in dire need of some tightening. Is it wise to pick up all new elastic and restring or can I get away with reusing the original elastic?
@wakakusa, she's not from the most recent order, but here is my friend's SD16 Pearl in sunlight! @CelestialSnow, Magdalena is such a sweetie! If you're going to go to the trouble of restringing her, it'll be worth your while to change out the elastic. The elastic just naturally degrades over time, so new elastic will make your restringing efforts more worthwhile. If you restring her with old elastic, you'll have to redo it shortly anyway.
@CelestialSnow I also suggest new elastic, unless you're just revisiting a relatively new stringing operation where you didn't get the tensioning right the first time. Most dolls need it every 5 years or so sometimes more in hot/humid climates or if you play with them often.
As a treat to myself for my 30th birthday in September, I decided to do a FCS order from Tenshi no Sato! I'm doing SD f 122 with ennui makeup and fuller lips and freckles! My proxy thinks late September, early October for her to get to me
