    2. Lol, I was starting to think I'm the only one left who still has her Volks men on SD13 bodies. Thankfully I found JennyNemesis'sesses mens underwear commercial a couple of pages back!

      I have an on-and-off craving for the F16 fellow. I remember a sunlight version that was in the marketplace a couple of years ago, and they mentioned it had been modded eyes and lips to "even things out". I remember that, but does anyone know offhand what were/are the biggest asymmetries of the F16?

      These things don't always show up as obvious in photos and, yes, I've been looking at some sale threads! The F16 didn't have any pull until I saw a sunlight one - without even a faceup - at the last NY Dolpa. My jaw dropped, but I don't remember having seen any glaring irregularities at the time.

    3. F16's have a slightly crooked jaw and mouth. Some people hate it. Some people love it.

      I am starting to feel like that person, who if you ask if they own a particular Volks doll, doesn't anymore but used to at some point. The right jawline is more rounded than the left jawline.

    5. Lol, Kim, that's me with Dollshes - used to have a kick-line of them in the beginning!

      I can see what you mean about the jawline in your picture. Also, I'd thought it was just my wonky eyes seeing asymmetry in the lower lip in most pics - but it does seem fuller on the stage-right side.

      The only asymmetry that usually bothers me is when eye openings are sized or shaped so differently that you can't get the eyes to look balanced in a straight-on position.

      He's still a pretty charming sculpt!

    6. I think the last time I did a photo shoot with all my dolls was last Christmas. It took me 1 hour to line them all up. I keep my dolls in their clothes until I change them. I work too much it seems to keep everyone with a different look.

    7. I'm super happy, you guys! In several months I'll be an official Volks owner! I have SD17 Williams on layaway right now. When I first got into BJD, Volks wasn't my favorite sculpt but I have since learned the error of my ways! I'm on the search for a good outfit and wig and eyes. What's your favorite fashion style?

    8. Thanks, everyone... Ksusha, I have answered your question up there, btw. XD And Carmen is right, I keep them all bald and naked that's why it took me so long. Not to mention the girls don't have their own bodies yet so they're borrowing... And it took time, too! XD And I can't take topless shots like Jenny did because there are 2 children over there... Hahaha! XD

      And Carmen, I do think you almost have them all? ;)

    9. fransyung, question-question...*sleepy* ah about keeping in a boxes? I got it even before, sorry. I just was under the impression how long this may take, you and Carmen are just heroes! I don't keep mine in a boxes(I love to see their sweet faces ^^), unless I'm away from home for a long time, so I only can imagine how is it to prepare so many dolls at ones ^^

      Carmen, hehe, ok not all, but almost all as fransyung said ;)

    10. Ksusha : I mean your question about Charlotte. XD My country is hot and humid and my room is air-conditioned 24/7... So there's always dust in the air. I'm afraid that if I let them out for too long they'll get dirty easily... And I really don't have time to bath them all. XD

    11. Yup! I have cats and I dont want them near my dolls, not to mention the sun and humidity here in Miami.....I just feel better if they are put away!!!!

      fran~I am missing a few boys....I have no more space so I really have to be super selective with my family.....on the bright side maybe I will finally have some money in my wallet for a change! :D

    12. Speaking of F16, I have a tan F16 that's modified (sanding to correct the asymmetrical face and eyes, also carved scar mod on the eyebrow area). I do not take photos of him very often though.

      It is not necessary to make corrections to F16 however, I think he looks just as great as he is when unmodified as long as the face-up is good. The only problem I have with F16 is the way the head looks on SD13 body. The proportion just somehow doesn't look right to me (same thing with Captain SD13 Cecile). I had sold his SD13 body and got a tan SDGr body through Sato FCS last year, however, I have not used that body with him yet but I think it should look better than SD13.

      Normal skin F16 looks great on SD17 body! So my ultimate dream is for Volks to make SD17 tan bodies for FCS or just for a limited. Ebony skin of Irvin and shadow skin of Shirou is not compatible! I mean, many of the newer FCS heads are really perfect as SD17 so, for Volks to make SD17 bodies to match resin other than normal skin would be great. The beauty white SD17 Chris one-off auction for Dolpa in Korea in the past was teasing us enough! T_T
