Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD.     3. Thanks Jo - I did want Shinji to wear Masamune's sexy ponytail-wig for modelling that kimono! But it's just too bloody small. I didn't want to mess up the careful ponytail by forcing it on him. ;; I thought Genji's head was tiny, but Masamune's is really tiny.
      Shinji does have his Genji default wig, which could be tied back, although it won't have those sexy bare-spots above the ears. <3

    5. Jenny: Yes! Date's head is super small. Infact, he has the smallest head by a mile in my crew. But Date's wig is like OMG awesome to the max! I saw someone used the wig on Hijikata's head before though. Cant wait for more Shinji in kimono pics!

      eleniel: Date is gorgeous with very delicate features. Really hope to see more Date repaints too!

    6. Wow, is it really possible to get this itsy-bitsy wig onto Hijikata? :O Hiji must be very petite, or else somebody is braver about stretching that wig than I am. (I was too squeamish to really try forcing it, as I want the wrapped-up part to stay tidy.)

      It does also fit my Ryoya, but Reika refuses to wear long hair. And it fits my small-headed old Iplehouse guys. Luckily, Yuki himself still likes it-- and he's the one with the special cut-out ears, so that the swept-back edges of the wig fit perfectly behind them. Which I love.

    9. Hijikata's head looks huge compared to my Ryoya. I haven't sat down and measured them (my friend has Hijikata) but he makes Arashi look tiny.

      RE: the sexy wig

      One of my Els would try to steal it, I know. My type 2 boy can fit in an 8-9 easily enough.

    11. I don't think any of my boys will achieve leather danger-elegance... My Williams may come the closest, as he apparently is the most formal dresser, but then there's chipmunk cheeks F38, who thinks he's Hawaiian, and a very casual F31. Of course, they're all on SD13 bodies too, so snake-like draping is unlikely!

      And I have to get a better wig for Mr. Casual. But the F31 head has that typical classic Volks head - big around, deep front-to-back, but no height to speak of. I'm hoping to jump on a Euro Leeke GO in a couple of weeks (the USA one closed early) and get him something in Royal Grey with less "crown" --

    12. It doesn't fit? I've seen people use that wig on various dolls and Genji's head is quite small. I have that wig too and it seems to me it would fit Genji?

      Not me, I couldn't get it to go on easily-- Genji does have a tiny head, which was why its failure surprised me-- and it's not a wig I felt like 'forcing', because I didn't want to wreck the smoothness of that swept-up zone by manhandling it. Ponytail/braid wigs love to get frayed spots when I handle them too much, so I got skittish and abandoned it.

      If anybody HAS gotten it onto Genji's head, I'd love to hear the trick! Maybe if I had the wig equivalent of a shoe-horn, to 'pry' it on there...?

    14. *sigh* Oh Jenny... I thought Ryoya was my only Volks love, but Date is slowly creeping (creeping? more like BARGING) into my heart via your photos. Keep 'em coming! :D (and if you have some of Reika, feel free to spam as well~)

    17. Yes, they do have tinier heads than SD17, but I had a eureka moment! I'm happy to say I was wrong. :D I just needed to take a deep breath & try that Masamune wig on a Genji skull one more time from another angle, and push a little harder, and it went on. It doesn't sit quite right behind his ears, of course (Genji doesn't have cutaway ears), and the hairline is pretty ungenerous. But the fit's not unacceptable -- though best when not viewed from the back -- it's nothing that can't be camouflaged by moving his bangs around & shifting camera angles. ^^ The loose short hairs will just have to be photoshopped.

    18. Ahahaha... I see what you mean. But it won't look bad from the front! My DD Sakuya wig has a high ponytail, too, so it was difficult at first to use it on my other dolls. But then I realised you can make it work by putting the back part first onto the head and then slowly pushing and pulling the front part to cover the whole head. ;)

    19. Yes, I found that eventually worked, if I stretched it over the back of the skull and pushed gently. Much prettier from the front, of course! Good fringe.

      It just fits Yuki's little pin-sized head better, & doesn't leave quite so much skull bare.
      Shin has already jettisoned it anyway; he prefers his own floppy goth haircut. ^^
