Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order.   2. Dollshe Craft and all dolls created by Dollshe, including any dolls created under his new or future companies, including Club Coco BJD are now banned from Den of Angels. Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD. This ban does not apply to other company dolls cast by Dollshe as part of a casting agreement between him and the actual sculpt or company and those dolls may still be discussed on the forum.     4. It looks like the invitations will be sent out late June. I wonder if we'll hear from FDQ by email before the invitations arrive so those who can go can get decent airfare.

    6. They will probably send the invitations by email, like they did for the LA tea party. You just printed the invitation out and showed them a picture ID (like a driver's license or ID card) to verify who you are and that you were invited.

    8. To avoid confusion or delay, I would think you'd want to use give the address you usually use when you shop with Volks, which should also be the same one the FDQ has for you as a subscriber. If that happens to be a P.O. Box, then that's the one you should fill in on the form. However, if you know you've previously provided a different mailing address to either Volks or FDQ, I'd tell Volks Customer Service so that nothing prevents you from having as good a chance as any of us hoping to attend this event.

    12. Not real news but a little update from FDQ ...

      FDQ has received the Volks database and is in the process of cross-referencing.

      A postcard invitation will be smailed to all elidgeable SD Fans sometime this month.

    16. A few things I wanted to share .... (posted June 8th)

      FDQ is still waiting to receive the invitations from the printers, once they arrive they'll be sent. I asked them to let me know when the first one leaves the office - but sometimes they forget to tell me. The first people to get their invites will most likely live in either NY or NJ. This is because they'll be mailled from New York City.

      Once they're all sent - I'll post a cut-off date. If you don't get one by that date and are an FDQ Subscriber, I'll want to hear from you and see if there was a problem that can be fixed. Please do not PM me about this till after the date I mention. More on that after they're sent.

      The Exclusive will be purchased from FDQ, not Volks. Therefore, New York state residents will be charged sales tax (yeah I know it sucks - I live in NY too).

      Some advice ...
      If possible, you do not want to attend as a Guest. As of the date of this post, guests are invited as observers only. They will not be permitted to purchase the Exclusive or enter any lotteries. They however will get lunch and enjoy the festivities.

      One more thing ... FDQ has done exclusive dolls in the past with other companies. Occassionally a person will pay for it with a credit card that won't go through (for whatever reason). Please be sure your credit cards are all set for any purchases made at the Tea, if for any reason it doesn't go through, this may cause you to lose your opportunity get the exclusive.

      P.S. I just got some good news that I'm allowed to share.

      To Anyone NOT Able to Attend the Tea Party
      FDQ will be holding a few Exclusive Dolls aside and you will be able to order one through the magazine. There is an orderform in the next issue,
      which ships the first week of July. In this issue, you will see the doll and get the whole story. The form will need to be smailed in to better keep track of the orders. You do not need to be in the VOLKS database or live in the U.S. to get one from the magazine. If there are more orders than dolls - then a lottery will be held.

      Added on June 10th:
      There will be no layaways on the Exclusive Doll.

    18. Updated June 11th - Payment Information

      For the Exclusive:
      We accept Visa, MC, and AMEX, as well as checks, cash, money orders and Paypal. Checks and MO should be payable to FDQ or Fashion Doll Quarterly.

      Volks will handle payment for the one-offs.

      Any additional info will be in the July issue of FDQ, which should start arriving to subscribers the beginning of July.
