Volks Yo-SD questions (wig/shoes/clothes)

Yay! Thank you! Neither I, nor any of my friends have purchased one before, so we didn't know how stretchy they were. *runs off to buy a perdy wig for her little one*

 

I have a YO-SD girl and can't find any stores that sell clothing for her in my state. I am in California and need some more clothing for her.

 

Christine, I don't know what type of clothing you are going to look for that is found in your state. From what I am aware, most of the Yo-sd clothes come from Asian makers & distributors. There is a Volks store in California I think, you could try looking there. Otherwise you can look for a dolls/bears collectible store and look for Ann Estelle outfits, as well as other 10-12" collectible doll clothes. Another option would be to go onto Etsy and see what sellers are in your area.

 

Are you looking for a brick and mortar store, or are you willing to order online?
There are several vendors that sell online for the Volks Yo dolls.
One of my favorites is dollinstyle.

I was wondering if the yo-sd clothes would fit the new tong tong from 5stardoll?

 

YoSD sized clothes should fit, because Tong Tong has approximately the same measurements as comparable dolls of that size.

 

Thanks babyelf I got her a long t-shirt to try on her when she get's here also do you think the shoes will fit as well.

 

With 4 cm the feet are a little bit smaller than the usual YoSD size (4.5 cm), but I am pretty confident that Yo shoes will fit.

I'm not sure if anyone has posted this, but for yo-sd there's a brand of doll clothes for Liv Doll (very cheap) that with slight modification can sometimes fit my honey luts doll. The actual product is a bit different from the photo, but if you happen to see it in stores, you might want to check it out for your yo-sd.

I bought this set at Target for $10 and while not everything fit, the shirt fit perfectly (it has Velcro in back), the leg warmers fit (although only if you're careful and patient--they can fit on arms too) , they scarf is cute, and a snip to the cuffs of the jacket make it fit, and is cute to boot! Other than that, nothing else in the package fits my dolls, although the shorts almost fit, and might fit a doll with a smaller bottom.

All in all, for $10 bucks it was a pretty good deal! I haven't tried any of the other outfits from Liv Doll, but at least this one has given me a cute shirt, jacket, scarf, and leg warmers and best of all, no shipping from Asia!

 

Speaking of the Liv dolls, I saw a bunch of wigs for them in Wal-mart the other day for around $5 a piece, and was wondering if they might fit a Yo-sd, if anyone knows?

 

Once you remove the plastic "plug" in the wig underside they seem to fit the 5/6 size heads such as on Pukifee.

What eye size are Yo SDs? I have a Chika incoming and want to get her glass eyes.

 

The default eyes in the Yo SD are 16mm, but I sometimes use 14mm instead. It depends on the look you want.

I went to Toy's R Us and found that they have the Liv doll wig and clothes so l bought a pink wig for Rini (tong tong) but l'm not sure about the clothes thought when l have to go to the doctor again (the doctor is in the same area) l will go to see what outfit that Rini might be interested in that's if they fit.
