1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Was your first doll a boy or girl?

Jun 17, 2014

    1. My first doll was a girl, because only her mold I wanted to see near me.
And I didn't choose the doll-boy of the dream...

    2. Girl. Actually, except for a few Monster High boys, and a few Ken dolls who have been heavily modded into Starfleet officers, I'm still an all-girl household.

    3. My first doll was a girl simply because I wanted a bjd just to sew for at first and there is more variety in female clothing that I like. Two years later I have added 3 more girls to my collection, but I want my next doll to be a male.

    4. my first was a girl, Im not so fond of boys that look more human but Id love to get another pukifee ante and have it as a boy to go with my girl.

    5. A boy! I always knew that was gonna be the case because I don't really collect girls. I like a lot of girl sculpts and female characters but I like boys more so if I got the money to spend on a doll, it'll be a boy. (Until I win the lottery or something)

    6. Mine was a boy, and boys are still my favourite so far, though I couldn't tell you why! ^_^

    7. I have a yo girl, a Bambicrony Shy. Outside of that they've all been boys... though I do have a Luts elf event head that I'm considering making a girl. She was traded to me for another head by a friend and I don't have any real plans as to what to do with it. XD I'll figure it out I'm sure. Still have at least 1 or two girls planned for the future, and another couple of boys. after that I'll be done. No more.. unless I upgrade existing kids into new molds (I do that sometimes, give them an upgrade because they deserve it)

I'm a weird one... I don't buy dolls because I want to just mess with them... I hunt sites and a mold will smash me upside the head with a "hey, you need to buy me cause I say so, and this is my entire life story" O_o i have a lot of character voices running around in my head... sometimes they get dolls to get them out of my head once in a while.

    8. Buying my first doll, I succumbed to stereotypes about girl-dolls. I was afraid that I didn't have enough imagination to pick up the look for the boy. I was so naive. I have sold my girl-doll. Now I have the only doll, he is a guy and he endlessly inspires me to new creations.

    9. Boy! I could have just as easily chosen a girl but I had to choose one or the other so boy it was ^ - ^

    10. My first doll will be a girl. :)

    11. My first doll was a boy.

    12. My first doll was a boy and I am planning to get more boys in the future :3

    13. My current (and first) doll is a girl. It's because I think it's easier to find clothes for them compared to a guy doll. In the future, I would want to have a boy in my group. :)

    14. My first doll was a girl but I do have plans for at least one male doll in the future.

    15. Oops, Sorry! I hadn't realized that I had completely forgotten to reply to this question.

I got that first boy back in 2005, 2 girls within a year and the other 37 or so sort of snuck up on me over the intervening years.

    16. my first was a girl. At the time i couldnt find any boys i liked that i could afford. I still dont have a boy. I have expensive tastes and they keep getting pushed to the back of the list.

    17. My first doll was a big guy, I'm really picky about the girl bodies that I like.

    18. My first doll was a boy and I plan on only having boys. Not really into the whole boob thing, yanno? But "girl" clothes are a lot prettier haha.

    19. My first doll is a man :) reason behind that was because his sculpt was the first one I found that matched one of my characters. Next will be his two daughters cause I haven't found a sculpt that matches his wife yet.
