1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Was your first doll a boy or girl?

Jun 17, 2014

    1. My first doll was a big, 65cm, man. I like boy-dolls (their body sculpts and some face-sculps) more then girls. So if I'll decide to have another one, i'll choose a boy. :3nodding:

    2. My first doll, and all the ones who came after are girls :XD: (Though technically Enya is a TDF Peter...)

    3. My first doll was a boy. Second doll as well. Then I bought a girl (YOSD). I think I am afraid to buy a lady because I'd probably turn out to be a compulsive buyer, for there are so many beautiful clothes, and I am absolutely sure I'd love to but tons of stuff for her. My boys are less ,,fashion". lol.

    4. My first doll is probably going to be a girl, because I like shopping for the clothes for them more (plus, I've had a particular doll in mind for a long time)! I like boy dolls and girl dolls equally though, I know a lot of people prefer one over the other, some even choose to only get boy or girl dolls. I hope to have a nice, even amount between the two. ^^;

    5. My first doll was a girl. Didn't get a boy until recently.

    6. It was a boy! ironically, I always dreamed to had a girl... ;D So that's why I bring another doll soon lol

    7. I chose my first doll to be a girl for sewing purposes. At this time, I'm only starting to get better at making shirts, and pants, and since I want to make most of my dolls clothes, I didn't want their outfits to look...subpar, because I didn't know how to make them at the time. I'm sure in the future (possibly my next doll, even) I'll have a male doll.

    8. My first was a boy with another boy on the way! Hopefully I'll get a girl in the future!

    9. My first doll was a boy.
It's odd though, because I love shopping and styling for girls, but I currently only have boys in mind, along with the one boy that I currently have at home. And even then, they're hard to dress because they're oddly sized! Haha, I can never win.
It's alright though, gives me a lot of reason to hone my sewing skills. Plus, the other character I'm about to shell will have to share a body
for a while, so after sewing enough clothes, I'll be really comfortable with their measurements. c:

    10. I dont know if it is because I am a girl or what...but I think a girl is easier when it comes to search clothes (or ideas to make clothes) for her than a boy. However,my first one was a boy.I just fell in love with him at first sight ^_^

    11. My first was am msd boy.. I'd originally planned on getting a girl, but then I came across him and it was instantly decided that he was the one.

    12. So far my count is 4 girls and 1 boy. Generally I prefer girls but one of my ladies needed a boyfriend. :)

    13. My first doll was a girl, but I am starting to become more drawn to male sculpts though. :aheartbea

    14. My first was a tiny Fairyland Realpuki Boy. I sold him on, and I now have two girls and a boy with another male on his way. I adore both, which is probably why they are evening out again :)

    15. My first doll was an sd girl :)

    16. My first doll was a boy, was drawn to his fantasy parts more than gender. :)

    17. My first doll is a boy so is my second. I'm trying to break the chain by ordering a girl sometimes this year or next year. Then I'll go back to buying boys x D

    18. My first doll is a boy~ Currently, I only have one girl. :>

    19. My two dolls are girls, but everyday I desire more a boy doll. But first I must buy all the girls in my wish list :dance

    20. Oh yes, this is exactly why I went with a girl for my first doll. I was first drawn to a boy doll, but found that it wasn't nearly as much fun to shop for clothes for him than it was to shop for my hypothetical first girl doll. I'm sure some day I'll get a boy to be her brother, because I too love girl and boy dolls equally. But for now, I think that a girl doll was a fun starter choice. There are just so many fashion options out there for her! :)

Which doll do you have in mind for your first, if you don't mind me asking?
