1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Was your first doll a boy or girl?

Jun 17, 2014

    1. My first was a girl (CP Luts Lishe) but I followed up almost immediately with a boy (El). My current collection is pretty much half and half (just a few more boys than girls).

    2. As above I my first girl was also a CP Luts Delf Lishe and she was followed by another girl who was a limited edition Rei Ayamani Volks Dollfie Dream. My third doll was a boy being a CP Luts Delf Shiwoo. :)

    3. My first doll is going to be a boy. Though i may make future ones androgynous.

    4. My first doll is a boy. But now I prefer girl doll the most.

    5. Huh, I would have guessed boys were more popular. I got a girl as my first, though.:sweat

    6. My first one was a boy as well (a Delf Moon). And at that time I had no interest in getting a girl... but then a year later I got my second doll a girl (Luts Lishe).
Then years later I discovered Volks Dollfie Dreams (they pose so wonderfully compared to my delfs) and before I knew it, I had 5 of them. I did add another Luts Delf boy to my group though, but including the DD, I have a lot more girls now. I never would have imagined that happening when I first got into this hobby.

    7. My first doll is a boy and since then I only buy boy. the last one i'll buy to ended my dollie journey would be a girl and that's when I'll leave this hobby

    8. Mine was a girl ~ I bought another girl later on and decide to make her(him?) a boy :sweat

    9. My first doll was a girl, but I actually thought that more people preferred male dolls. I see a lot of amazing male sculpts at so many companies where the female sculpts at the same company might only be so-so.. but it's just my opinion of course. I like both equally to look at, but I think I'd ended up creating more for my female dolls. Like someone else mentioned about their female dolls appearing too cutesy, I notice that too. It's harder to find the more mature looking sculpts for female dolls it seems.

    10. I prefer female dolls. I'm having hard time to get or make clothes to my male dolls ^^' Also males face-ups are a bummer to me.. so hard !
I love how different clothes you can get to girls and over all it feel more comfortable to have these chicks around me :'D (Sorry, Woraug, you're awesome even if I prefer girls... <3)

    11. My first (and only) doll is a girl. And I'm pretty sure I will only have girls. I like curvier forms, and think they are more fun to dress/style than boys.

    12. Most of my dolls arrived at the same time, but the very first one I picked out was a girl~

    13. It was a boy.
And im planning to buy only guys because my OCs are in my mind and I want to make them a bjd.
      And they're mostly guys

    14. My first bjd is a guy, he's currently on his way home :) I was having a hard time choosing between two guys, but next I'll get a girl.

    15. My first doll was a girl (Dreamingdoll Mae) but my second doll was a boy. I've had much more luck shelling my female OCs than my male OCs... though I now have three male dolls, only one is actually a shelled OC, compared to the three female OCs I've shelled.

    16. Girl, followed in short order by a boy, then another girl. Amongst my MSD and smaller, girls outnumber boys by a lot, but it is harder to find boy sculpts I like in those sizes. Amongst my SDs... I have equal numbers of boys and girls. For now.

    17. My first doll was a girl, but the two friends who I got into BJDs both got male dolls first.

    18. First was boy... second was boy.... then boy boy boy and more boy....

    19. A boy but I am planning on buying a girl in the future. I personally prefer boys since I prefer my characters (the ones I'm making into bjd's) to be boys as well.

    20. My first one will be a boy :)
