1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Was your first doll a boy or girl?

Jun 17, 2014

    1. My first doll was a girl, Bobobie Espree. The only boys that stick around in my collection are tinies! XD

    2. My first doll was a girl, and so isn't most of my collection. Most boy dolls don't stick around with me long, sadly. :( I do like boy dolls too though, and have plans for a few... I hope those stick around! XD

    3. I'm a boy but my first doll was a girl. I like female dolls more than male dolls, I think because there is more choice in clothing and wigs for girls

    4. My first doll was a girl. all my dolls are girls. i love looking at other peoples boys dolls but I have no desire to own one myself, i feel that we just would not bond.
I feel sad about it as i feel my girls would love a man around but I cant justify spending that money on a doll thatwould get no love and be shipped out again almost as soon as he arrived in favour of his girly counterparts.

    5. My first doll was a girl. And I've stuck to that gender so far. While I do find male dolls intriguing, it's hard to imagine having one!

    6. My first doll was a girl. I was able to buy her before.
But my wishlist is full of boys :P

    7. My first doll was a boy and my second will also be a boy. Personally, I'm more attracted to the male sculpts than the female ones. I do have some female BJDs on my wishlist, but they are greatly overwhelmed by the boys on the list. It's the same with my writing too -- male characters are more fun to me.

    8. I am waiting on my first doll, a girl. I'm thinking a boy next though:)

    9. I thought a long time about whether to get a boy or girl for my first doll. I ended up buying a boy, because I figured I could always make him crossdress if I wanted to put him in something frilly like a dress. :3c But I think the next one I get will be a girl. I'm going to go for a much smaller doll next time, and for the small ones I like the girls faces better generally.

    10. She is a girl. I tend to like the girls more; I think it's because I love buying fullset dolls, and the girls usually have more elaborate costumes. What can I say... I'm a sucker for dresses!

    11. Mine are all girls. There are such pretty clothes for girls...

    12. mine was a boy!

    13. Mine was a girl. I want to dress them up and male fashion doesn't interest me in the slightest. Which is probably why all my shirts are the same in my closet, just different pattern and colors...

    14. My first doll was a boys head but I bought a girls body for it

    15. I prefer guy dolls over girl dolls, because I'm really picky about what I like in girls. As for guys, if they look good, I would probably like them. Plus, it will be a fun challenge to sew clothes for guys...or sew in general. I would probably only get a girl doll if I'm looking for a partner for my doll.

    16. My first doll was a girl plus a floating head, I got a boy body after that.

    17. First doll was a boy and 99% there after. I have one girl who honestly makes an adorable boy when i've cross dressed her.
I'm just a sucker for the boy dolls vs. the girls.

    18. I started with girl dolls and I'm pretty sure I will end up with girl dolls till the end of my life xD
      I do have some boy sculpts on my wishlist, but realistically looking, I will choose girl over boy any time ^^;

    19. My first doll was a girl, which 1/6 custom doll. first BJD was a boy. I love him and he is still my number one.

    20. My first doll was a girl. I'm currently waiting for 2 other dolls, a 27cm obitsu girl and a 64cm boy. I'm very excited for both(:
