1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Was your first doll a boy or girl?

Jun 17, 2014

    1. First doll was a girl, but i'm in the process of selling her because I couldn't bond, she came at a really bad time in my life and every time I look at her all I think about it that negative time. :pout:

    2. My first doll was a boy, but now I have both boys and girls :)

    3. My first doll was a boy! And I think my second one will also be a boy :sweat

    4. I don't really count the first doll I bought, because I sold her (she was a girl) but my next doll was a boy. I bought 5 Star Tumnus and Rex together as part of their winter event.
I really wanted boy dolls more than girl dolls. I have more girls than boys now, but I really prefer boy dolls.

Maybe it's the clothes. I really like to dress boy dolls more than girls. It kind of goes back to what I did for a living. I designed and made costumes for theatre. I got to be an expert tailor, and was always called upon to do things like men's suits. I really enjoyed that. I'm not really interested in doing frilly ruffly things. Even when I had Barbie dolls, I enjoyed making Ken clothes more than Barbie's.

    5. Shes an RS Mei :)
I want some boys in the future.
I don't know which I prefer. I *think* I prefer girls, but then I think about all the drool-worthy masculine sculpts :)

    6. My first doll was a girl, i like boy dolls but they just seem harder to style

    7. Mine was agender, but my second was a girl. I usually don't see the appeal in boy dolls, but to each their own...

    8. My first was a boy! I don't know why but I prefer them over girls for some reason. I own a girl and boy and will be getting another boy and girl soon.

    9. My first doll was a girl. I bought her two years ago and I would NEVER part with her!

    10. My first was a boy and the majority of mine are boys... Couldn't really say why! I enjoy looking at girl sculpts but I've only found a couple that I'd like to have.

    11. My first doll, that is now on layaway, is or will be girl, Dollmore Alexia. :3 I'm not particularly fond of male dolls, and most of my characters are female, so this was natural choice for me. :) But, I do plan to have boy dolls one day too.

    12. My first and only doll so far is an SD girl, but I would really like an SD boy as well.

    13. My first doll was a girl. Generally I find girls more interesting anyways : p hehe... maybe I just see more possibilities for face up and clothing options.

I do have 2 boys... although one usually has a little Lord Fauntleroy style, and the other is rather girly, haha!

    14. My first doll was a girl. I'm planning on getting her best friend (a girl) next, and then I'm planning on getting my first boy sculpt. I think I prefer girl scupts, because buying pretty things for them is so fun!

    15. My first was a boy~
My second was a girl though
then the other 5 so far are boys xD (but 3 of them are gone/going)

    16. The first resin I ever received was just a head but nonetheless a girl (identified as genderless). But the two full dolls I revived at the same time we're both boys.

    17. My first doll was a boy. Fast forward 5 years to now and I own two girls and only have female dolls on my wishlist. They're just so much more fun to dress!

    18. My first doll was a boy! A floating-head-boy xDD

    19. My first doll was a girl. Well her body arrived first, but still, female :P
I want a mix of both, though who knows what the ratio will end up being haha.

    20. My first doll was a boy, though I really wanted a girl due to more clothes and accessories fitted to them. Now I'm waiting for three girls and I got some nice stuff for them too :)
I wouldn't say I prefer girls, I like both equally, but I think it's a pity that the guy clothes are kind of 'limited' to my taste.
