1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Was your first doll a boy or girl?

Jun 17, 2014

    1. My first doll was an elf! Avian doesn't really have a gender, though most people think their a boy. I doubt they mind, however.

    2. My first doll was a girl, i have always been more drawn to female dolls because i feel there are way more clothing options and i just adore girly things!!!

    3. My first doll was a Kiyra from elf stories. My mother had her, and I really liked her sculpt. My mother then said she was thinking about selling her and I jumped at the opportunity. I want to get her face up redone, but she is one of my favorites. I am awaiting her boyfriends arrival, which will be sometime in the near future.

    4. I'm not planning to get any boy dolls - I'm good with just girls.

    5. My first doll was a girl. I like girls best in most cases and so did everyone I was asking opinions when I was looking for a doll lol. I have a boy but I have no idea what I'm doing with him. I want him to look cool but I don't want to buy an $100 outfit for him so since my one girl doll likes punk like clothes he will mirror her... Even if she wears bright colors xD

    6. My first doll is a boy and, well, all of my dolls now are boys. But i really like girls and plan to buy girl next:XD:

    7. A girl!
I figured at the time that girl dolls would be easier to make clothes for, and since I grew up with Barbies and Bratz, the idea of getting a boy doll was foreign to me. But now I want boy dolls more than anything! I blame yaoi for the change of heart, haha.

    8. A girl! My first boy is on layaway :o

    9. My first doll was a boy, as well as my second, and although it wasn't really intentional, I only have plans for one girl. Cx looks like it's almost all boys for me.

    10. I had fully intended my first doll to be a boy, but then I ended up buying just a head who then ended up getting a female body. While I prefer the aesthetics of girl dolls, I have many more plans for boys.

    11. Girl! In fact, most of the dolls (non-BJD) have been girls, solely because boy dolls were uncommon or not handsome. Now I am pretty sure I'll have more boys than girls.
Lallia (Lily) was my fist girl.

    12. My first was an msd sized girl, and as far all I own is girls. That may change in the future but for now I just like how much more is available for customizing girl sculpts.

    13. My first doll was a boy. And it is a little sad - for girls dress much more diverse.

    14. My first doll was a girl, I'm a fashion designer so it was going to be my 'fashion doll' that I could sew for and express my creativity on a smaller scale. I was never interested in boy dolls until I found Switch, then I fell in love with the idea of having a boy! I recently received a Switch Soseo and I'm looking forward to being able to play with a boy and a girl together.

    15. My first doll was a girl doll. I have not seen any boy dolls that have appealed to me. I currently have 2 girl dolls and I am waiting on 2 more girl dolls.

    16. Mine were girls! <3 i just love the sculpts and the make up without feeling like i have a really girly boy. not that theres anything wrong with that.

    17. Mine was a boy he was a mothers day gift to me. I honestly prefer the boy dolls, but there have been a few girl dolls that have caught my eye that I have purchased. Some how all of my dolls end up in pairs. My Abadon has his Lilith and my Xander has his Chuchi-rie.

    18. My first doll was a boy but I enjoyed dressing him up in girls clothes so I've really been considering getting a girl doll ha

    19. A boy and the boys are with me in the majority :)

    20. My first doll is a lovely little lady, and both dolls I have on order right now are girls. I like cute things, and I have a harder time finding cute boys that fit my tastes.
