1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Was your first doll a boy or girl?

Jun 17, 2014

    1. My doll has a male body but I tend to just said that their character is genderfluid! And I dress them up however I feel. I used to say they were a boy who dressed however but since then I've learned more about gender and all that (since exploring my own gender a ton).

    2. I like both male and female BJDs, but my first is a girl. Hope to get a boy someday though!

    3. My first was a girl and I have many more girls compared to boys!!

    4. Definitely girl. And the subsequent dolls after that were also girls.

I think it's because I like clothes and fashion, but I would never wear anything outlandish, so I let my dolls do that for me. I am living vicariously through my dolls. :whee:

    5. I had both, a boy and a girl, as my first. And I constantly end up having a ratio of 1:1, so apparently I like both genders. But not all of the characters are pairs or something, mainly just friends or siblings.

    6. A girl because I love women's haute couture, dresses, and accessories etc.

    7. My first doll is a female, and so is the second which I am waiting for. I am not ready for a boy. I do like some the MSD or smaller size male child dolls, they are so cute. I like a number of the male dolls, but many are too effeminate for me. I have seen some newer more masculine sculpts appear very masculine. I like some of the ones with a beard shadow. I think a more mature, maybe in his 40's, 50's or 60's, might be desirable. Everyone so young, sometimes just more of the same.

    8. My first and only doll at the moment is a girl. Was not really planing on gender the doll would be when I first started to look, I just saw her and it would be her. There have been male sculpts I have liked so I might get one at some point.

    9. I have always dreamed of having my first girl doll but after looking at 100+ girl dolls... the first doll I ordered was a boy!!!
I've always liked most girls in MSD size, but falling in love with a boy sculpt was new and I had to have him.

    10. I always go for guys first, especially those sculpts from iplehouse, migidoll, granado and etc. They are manlier and I have always wanted to get a perfect mini bf for myself. So yeay for guys!! Hehehe.

    11. As for now, all of my dolls are girls. Every time I consider buying a boy, new cute girl pops up to my mind! ;P I think girls just work better for me.

    12. My first doll was a boy.
I used to only look at boy dolls, now I'm interested in girls too. I thought they were boring at first, but there's some really nice girls out there**.

    13. My first doll was a man :3nodding: I actually wanted a girl, but it was the very last chance to got him so I more or less had to made him my first BJD :XD::3nodding:

    14. My first doll was a girl but I prefer guys now.

    15. I can see most of you guys choose girl for first doll cuz of cloth..sma as me :^) I think girl has more opportunities for cloth

    16. My first doll was a girl.

    17. My first doll was a girl! I'm pretty sure the gents outnumber the ladies in my collection now though.

    18. I prefer male dolls too im not sure why or how to explain it though.. they just get my attention more.. maybe im just used to seeing female dolls since i was a kid and seeing male dolls are unique to my eyes? Im not sure though *_*

    19. My first will be a girl, and I'm almost certain anyone who comes after will be as well. I find it really hard to create/ bond with boy characters.

    20. I love Iplehouse boys, ( dreaming about SID Shane ), but I have no idea what to do with them. So my first doll is a girl, because I love crafting and can practice my designer' skills on her. When it comes to boy's clothing and accessories, my imagination is very limited
