1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Was your first doll a boy or girl?

Jun 17, 2014

    1. Always a girl. I never fond of boys. However, I like boys but never want to own it :)

    2. My first is a girl, just cause I wanted cute dresses! I am planning on getting a boy at some point though ^^

    3. Girl. It definitely was because of the different clothing options, and sadly I didn't do much shopping for doll clothes when I first started. I eventually got a boy and later sold him - kinda wish I had tried to hybridize back then. But currently all are girls. Hopefully that will change in a year.

    4. My first doll was a girl - all dressed in a girly clothes fullset from Volks. I accidentally bought her from the store, I just saw her at the shelf and got so much interested that I carried her home the same day :) I could say I'd prefer girls look most as they look more aestethically beautiful to me, though I do have some boy dolls (who are mostly funny in my opinion, compared to the girls being nice, cute and beautiful)

    5. My first doll will be a girl, since i have all these plans for her outfits and i'd like to practice making dresses and girly things but i would want a boy in the future, i just need to find one that i really like.

    6. My first doll was a boy ^^ however i specifically purchased a very effeminate boy doll because at the time i was only planning on purchasing a single doll and using him as an art model so i wanted a doll that could be used for both male and female posses ^^

    7. First was a boy, and every one since then, hahaha. I do plan to get a girl eventually though since the clothes are way too adorable to resist!

    8. The girl was the first doll and in general boys I didn't plan to buy at all, but the favourite firm has let out the beautiful limit boy, to resist it hasn't turned out, so I among female collective had had one boy (though if to be more precisely, I have two male heads, but one body). ^^

    9. I haven't found the right boy doll so I only have girls, at least for BJDs.

    10. My first doll was a boy and even now I have more male dolls than females (Five male dolls and two female dolls). I do not prefer one gender over the other, but I just happen to have most male characters I guess. Having both male and female dolls is nice as I can do all kind of staging and not be limited to the gender of the one doll.

    11. I started my collection with a boy. It's easier for me to choose a boy than a girl

    12. It's always been boys for me. ^^ I used to think I wanted a girl and I tell everyone I plan to get one someday, but then I just buy boys. ^^

    13. It's a boy though looks like a girl :XD:.
I like boy better, so my dolls are either boys or no gender.

    14. My first doll will be a SD13 sized boy. I haven't really given much theought o ever getting a girl doll.

    15. I prefer girls but there execption to some boys.. Only a few compared to my wishlist for girl dolls

    16. I started my collection with a girl as i just fell in love with her and had to get her.

    17. i prefer boys~~ all of my dolls are boysss

    18. My first doll was a girl, but sometimes I forget she was my first doll because the way I got her was kinda random and strange. I also got her for free, so maybe that's why I don't think of her as my first.
However the first doll I bought was a boy, my only complaint is that boys are a little harder to shop for.

    19. Accidentally, I purchased a boy for my first doll. I was new to the hobby and saw two Ani's on the Luts site. I was planning on getting a girl but preferred the overall look of one of the listings in particular so that was the page I ordered from. Turned out to be the Ani boy. I didn't realize my error until discussing my purchase with a friend and we realized what had happened. Far too late to change the order by then but the sculpt was the most important part for me, so I wasn't disappointed or too broken up about it. Icarus is still very special to me and I love him so much.

    20. My first doll was a boy, although I dressed him up as a female most of the time :sweat

I am planning on making clothes for him so that his 'manly' aura will appear lol :XD:
