1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Was your first doll a boy or girl?

Jun 17, 2014

    1. A girl. At this point, I don't see myself ever owning male dolls, but who knows?

    2. Boys boys boys, all I have is boys. There haven't been many girl sculpts I like as much, ahaha.

    3. My first doll was a girl, An islanddoll Amy. I do prefer having boys though! Idk why! Even though Lucy is a girl, she is more Tomboy or has a very boyish personality to her rather than that of being girly. She perfers adult or masculine styles compared to skirts and things.

I definitely hold a special bond with Lucy as she is my first doll, but the other two seem to more... I don't know, responsive i guess. Lucy is very independent where as i feel as though Felix (the angel) needs to be picked up and photographed or posed more, and Gabriel (the demon) just has this way about him that makes me feel a tad bit more bonded.

    4. My first doll was a boy and he's still with me. I've got 6 dolls now - all boys - and I don't have any plans for girls. I just prefer the boy dolls I guess. :wiggle

    5. My first doll is a girl

    6. It was a girl, have ten girls now and three boys.

    7. Only have two dolls so far and both are girls. Initially, I thought I was going to get a boy but there more I thought about it I realised I wanted to create female characters.

My world is so full of male characters in games, TV series and roleplaying adventures. I just want to force more girls into my life. ^^'

    8. My first doll (technically just doll head) was female and my next two dolls are also female.
But I do plan on trying to create a male DD to add to the family next. (:

    9. Mine was a boy. Well not the first I ordered but she was on layaway. I got impatient. I wanted a doll. And exploring around I found on Junky Spot in the Clearance Center a DollLeaves Mic, white skin with faceup in the US!! I had seen the same doll for over $100 without faceup plus shipping fees from Asia. So I jumped on him.

I like both. I am a tad on the compulsive side - not to the washing hands degree - but I like to have one boy and one girl of each company and size I own. So I found a Day on eBay :-D. And it is torturing me that I only have one girl IslandDoll (Cassandra) and am waiting for a boy DollZone (Jani) but no girl! Not really liking the new yosf sculpts. Hope they come out with more.

I am still a newbie but I have noticed that while there is some really cool boy clothes there is more for girls. When I got my first boy yosd - a Fect Doll Zimo - I had very little boy clothes and there was less available. But some of the boy clothes is so awesome. I have these new pants with this lock and key chain I so want for myself!!!!

    10. My first doll was a male, a Boy&girl Sky type 2 . I got him because the first bjd I ever saw and instantly fell in love with was a Crobidoll Yeon-ho but since I was unable to afford him as my first doll i went with the second cutest boy I could find and I still have him today:).

    11. My first doll was a girl and almost all of the dolls I have ever bought were girls. :P I purchased two YoSD-sized boys at one point, thinking if they were small boys perhaps I would be able to keep them around. They didn't stay long before they got sent off to another home, as I've learned that I'm just a girl-doll kind of owner.

    12. My first doll was a guy. I love clothing options for boys because you can either have him look really manly or girly.

    13. My first doll was a boy but its in his backstory that he dresses up as a girl so he got the best of both worlds. But now I'm getting a girl doll! :)

    14. My first doll was a boy. Most of the dolls I end up liking are the boys, though I have found some girls that I like :3

    15. My first doll will be a boy, because I usually like the boys more, though there are a few girls I want =)

    16. My first was a head, which was meant to be a boy, but then I changed my mind and got a girl body since I found I preferred that.

    17. i actually see more boy dolls than girl ones....it feels like a lot of people own boys
my first doll was a boy....but i lost interest in him in 3 months so he had to go
and i switched to girls...and right now all of them are girls
after the first one i almost never or rarely get moved by boy sculpt. i look at them and go ohhhh cute but i dont really think of buying one

    18. There are so many very cool boy dolls for sure, but mine for the most part are all girls too!

    19. First MSD...Was a boy. He's the only MSD I got who IS a boy. The other two are ladies and the next one will likely be a little lady too.

    20. My first was a boy. Then I bought three girls... Then two boys. Now I'm getting another girl. I don't prefer one over the other.
