1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

We're all Mad Here... Pipos Cheshire discussion (all types)

Aug 29, 2010

    1. All the cheshires have made me fall for the original ones instead of just the star cheshire. I think I have underestimated their charm.

The blue cheshires look charming! I wasn't sure about the blue resin, but it makes them look great! Too bad I had to miss this one, but I have lots of time to save up and dream for now. Not having a steady job sucks. I miss my work study at school.

      wow!He is so gentleman):o

    3. Ooohh! Pipos' event just made me crack! I'm getting a Pistachio Green Cheshire :D
I was torn between getting a mint one now or wait a few days to get a green one, I prefered to wait, and anyway, the green looks amazing!
I'm also super happy I can get beast hands with it, won't have to figure out a way to find some xD

Anyone over here jumping on the colorful bunch ?

    4. I may crack as well. I've been wanting either a baby or a regular Cheshire for ages now, and since I don't think a baby is happening anytime ever ... I may just end up with a Cheshire. I'm eying the grey rather than any of the other colors though. I really want one to be my little Bonehead :D Time to do some number crunching to see if I can afford it. Figures I'd return from a doll hobby hiatus only to want another doll ...

    5. I may give in to temptation and order a yellow Star Cheshire, and my sister has ordered a sienna Cheshire. I was lucky enough to get a blue baby Cheshire recently, and I love him!

    6. Thinked getting yellow star cheshire. It's sad they are then soldin out all cheshire's after the color event.

    7. I'm debating between finally getting a grey cheshire (which I have wanted for a long time) or getting a pink cheshire. I do have the funds to do it and keep up with my other financial obligations too. I'm starting to lean towards pink, but I need to make up my mind soon!

    8. I ended up breaking down and ordering one. Eep! Its been a while since I've ordered a new doll, so I am definitely gonna need to find a way to make up for this. But oh man I'm excited!

    9. It's a Cheshire...and he's pink! And my first! So excited!

    10. I just ordered the LE Mysterious lavender pewter gray Cheshire Cat Pi, and I am just ECSTATIC beyond words to be getting him. I have been looking at the Cheshires for a long time, I went to a doll meet months ago and saw one, and I just couldn't leave him alone. I LOVE the jointed tail, and his wicked grin. I can't wait to start making wild costumes for him. One of my other dolls is a pirate captain and I think this guy will make a nice jaunty little cabin boy. All of my other dolls are sd13s and Iplehouse , and I had never seen an anthro I cared for in the least.... but these Cheshires are just the most mischieviously charming creatures I have ever seen.

I am gonna get a KITTY!

....and HIS name shall be PANDEMONIUM!

    11. Wow- these are all so adorable- I have to decide now which I want more, the LUTZ unicorn centaur...

    12. Hi, I am sorry if this information is elsewhere , I am not clever with computers, but could someone please tell me how wide the Cheshire Cat's foot is?....I am searching for pirate boots for him and the ones that I am seeing that are close to the 3cm length he is listed as having on Pipo's site look awfully narrow. Do Blythe boots actually fit? They look so narrow and small! Any recommendation for a precise brand or web site would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

    13. Thank you MichelleAK that was incredibly useful!

    14. For simple boots, Madame Alexander's small 10" doll's shoes and boots are a perfect fit, rosalynmoouse. In the above photo of my Cheshire, he is wearing a pair of black boots.

    15. Thank you VERY much for the information, sistercuervo ! I just ordered him some!

    16. I wonder, do the rest of you who already have Cheshire Cats at home, go check the Piposland site every day? I am always hoping they will offer something new.

    17. Sorry to be monopolizing this thread, but I have another silly question. I am trying to make my Cheshire a cape before he gets here. From the measurements listed on the site I am guessing that one 15cm long and with a 6.5cm neck opening would work, but I would like to make a hood. Could anyone tell me how large the hood opening should be? It will need to start at his collar bone and go up over his head and ears to meet back at his collar bone on the otherside? And how deep it should be? If anyone is able to take these measurements, I would truly appreciate it. Thank you!

    18. Yep. I still check the Pipos website every so often. I love my pink cheshire, but I really want a grey one too.

Ah, let me get my tape measure and take Monty out of his box...from his collarbone to the tip of his ears is about 3 and a half inches tall. From the line of his ear to the back of his head is about an inch deep. So if you want the hood more snug fitting, I would say probably about 3 inches tall and an inch deep. His ears are also spaced an inch apart from the close ends and three inches apart from the outside edges. I hope that was helpful.
