1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

What a surprise

May 9, 2017

    1. I was interested in Dikadoll's tiny elf girls, but didn't really want one until I found out they were available in tan, and took a better look at the less "normal" one. She has narrow dreamy eyes and downward pointed ears. By that time the order period was over, but Alice's Collections had one in stock! I'm happy I was able to get her!

When I got my Soom Juchy in Light Violet, I was surprised to find that the color is blue with a slight violet tint. Its a lovely color, so I'm happy, even though it isn't quite what I was expecting.

    2. I had purchased a Dollzone Renata with the vine arms to use for an important hybrid I was making. Alas, when the body arrived, one of the delicate vine arms was broken. I contacted my dealer and another set was ordered and subsequently arrived to complete my hybrid. But while I was waiting, my husband said he wanted to try to fix the broken one. I told him, “No way! These narrow vines are far to thin and delicate to ever hold being glued because of the stress from the elastic.” Well, he used something called 5-Second Fix, that you glue and then shine a special light on for 5 seconds to cure. I was so surprised that it actually worked! I was able to use them for another character and they’ve held perfectly strong for the past 4 years!:o The repair is so perfect, it literally takes a magnifying glass in bright light to see it.

    3. Probably the biggest surprise I've had is when I entered a charity raffle from a dealer who was closing up. They had three prizes they were giving away, a large assortment of eyes, a penguin costume, and a full doll. I thought the doll was kind of pretty, but figured I didn't stand a chance at winning her. But, since it was for charity, I bought a few tickets anyway and then kind of put it out of my mind. I figured, if I won anything, it'd be the penguin costume, and I didn't even remember when they were doing the drawing. I woke up one morning, when I was out of town and sleeping on a friend's couch, and therefore not well rested and a bit out of it, when I saw an email from them. I assumed it was a "thanks for entering, sorry you didn't win" thing, and in my sleepy state it took me a minute... I'd won the doll. :aeyepop:
