What Clothes Wigs fit BambiCrony?

Jun 1, 2006

    1. My leeke/bambicrony hybrid wears Rosenlied clothes and they fit very well!

      (More here)

The dress is a little loose but I think the style is like that in the first place... I'll definitely be buying from there again to dress Odile!!
I did have to remove her hands to put on the red jacket though, it's a bit annoying :|

Mine and Pyrope's Bambicronies are wearing Barbie/Ken clothes and the fit pretty well, though I think Pyrope had a problem with Elk's hands being too big for the sleeves... but she sorted it :) She's good like that :)

And the pants aren't barbie clothes they were badly made... by me. The dress was a bit short so I had to add a longer skirt on (haven't got a pic of it) and I also found that the Echo's bum was too big for the skirts and shorts, as well as another dress I bought in a barbie clothes set not fitting so be careful in what you pick!!

    3. I was wondering about the Rosenlied outfits myself so thanks for that!!

I recently purchased a few Barbie Fashion Fever sets, two of the middle sized ones that can make a few mix and match outfits, and one single outfit set and would say that roughly two thirds of the items fitted my Leeke/Bambi hybrid.

The jeans were an obvious no go although the pink tweedy looking ones did actually go up all the way but wouldn't fasten and they looked the narrower of the 2 pairs. The pink jacket I didn't even attempt as it had long skinny sleeves which unfortunately were not seperately made then attached so no alterations there :( . The surprise one though was a sleeveless pink hoodie which would go on but was so narrow at the shoulders her arms sat in a wierd position. There was another stretchy long sleeved blue cardi which with a bit of manouvering did go over her hands but again was narrow shouldered and just looked silly.

Most of the rest fitted in various degrees, even a rather tightly made fitted red dress which looked not to bad as long as you didn't turn her around to see the gape at the back lol. At the moment she's wearing a sleeveless pink dress with built in panties.

I also tried a Narsha outfit I bought for another doll on her, the dress was too big but didn't actually look too bad, the socks were a bit too long and loose, boots are huge (are Narsha's feet really that big??), panties were like bloomers on her so again you could get away with that, cardigan looks so cute except for the too long sleeves but again it's something you can get away with.

From top to bottom: Barbie Fashion Fever pink dress; Barbie dress and Narsha cardigan; Narsha dress.
Brown shoes are from Kemper Doll

    5. That is soo cute Spampy, I love it!

    6. I've been buying Vogue Ginny outfits, with mixed results. There seems to be a lot of variation on how the different outfits are sized, and there are at least 4 different size dolls. In general, dresses are too short and too tight; some are easy to alter and others not worth the trouble, but a few actuallly fit well. Pants don't fit at all.
The best is the Alice outfit, a blue dress and sheer apron with red trim. It fits almost perfectly, probably because it is actually too big for Ginny. I would guess that dresses that look a little oversized on Ginny would fit the best.
Another good outfit is the Candy Striper. The white dress works very well as an empire waisted top. The pinafore, with the hem let down, is very cute.
Most other dresses will be a bit tight, and very high waisted. Unless the dress is below the knee, it will be too short. Some hems are easy to let down, while others have too much trim or stitching.
There are lots of pinafore style dresses, but these usually don't work. I had good luck with a red taffeta dress: I let down the hem, the old stitching didn't show through, and the crease from the old hem I covered with the skirt trim. The back edges didn't quite meet, but I used the matching hair ribbon as ribbon ties. The other 3 dresses I tried were no good.
So a few Ginny outfits will work, especially if you can manage some alterations.

    7. The latest I've tried on my Leeke/Bambi hybrid are clothes made for 10" Ann Estelle dolls. Several people have metioned them already but it was ShaDrouet that for me really pushed that idea when I noticed a sale thread she had in the marketplace. Wish I'd bought one of the outfits she had for sale now but hey, my loss :doh
      Thanks ShaDrouet :daisy

The dresses are a teeny bit baggy but look adorably sweet on her, the tights are a fraction too short and can slide off of her butt when she sits down, shoes are a bit big but not so huge they look rediculous.

The good thing is that outfits for Ann Estelle dolls are found on eBay quite regularly as people make a lot of clothes for them so it's another option.

    8. Working on Christmas sweaters, have a huge order of jeans to get out this week, but here are some oldies but goodies.

    9. Oh, I missed this one - I love it!! Red and white are my favorite color combination.

    10. Hello, I bump this thread for a little question: I'm about to buy some shoes for my future BC and I have some doubts for the size: which one is better between 4 and 4.5? If the doll wear a sock, is 4 ok or it's too small?

Probably I'll buy some Kemper shoes

      Thanks, bye :)

    11. A late answer and a pic.
I usually go by centimeters. And most of my shoes are a bit bit just in case she wants to wear socks. I've tried Yo shoes, but they are way too wide. I did find some great mary janes and just got them in a TON of colors!.
But mostly she goes naked foot!

    12. I've found boots for Yo-sized dolls are just fine. Some shoes can be a little loose, but not bad.

    13. I was wondering if Dollmore Narsha Girl clothes fit Bambicrony. Has anyone tried them?

    14. No, but my Narsha is a lot bigger than any of my Bambicronys, so I doubt they'd fit. She's closer to MSD size and can wear some smaller Friends 2B Made stuff.

    15. i loved this green dress......very sweet

    16. Does anyone know if the Luts Honey Delf clothes will fit the Bambis? I have a Cookie coming, and she is going to need some clothes.

    17. I'm pretty sure they'll fit- they seem to have taken them down but they used to have some Bambicrony outfits (from back when they sold BCs at Luts) mixed in with the Honey Delf clothing. I don't have any of their outfits but I know for sure that the shoes fit since I do have a couple pairs of those. :) (I have the older body type, btw, not the new one they've just put out)

    18. I think they will fit. They may be a tad loose-- BC is slightly thinner.

    19. Does Ciao Bella fit in Jaime Rosebay doll shoes and wigs?? And do they fit into Soom Teenie Gem wigs, outfit, and shoes??

    20. Has anyone tried the Ty Girlz clothes on their Bambicrony? I have some on order-- I have one outfit that FITS-- and so I am going to try some more. Anyone else?
