What Clothes Wigs fit BambiCrony?

Went to a doll show over the weekend and bought some dresses made by Vee's Victorians for 9" dolls and they fit quite nicely on BC and similar sized dolls.

 

what are these 4 ever best friend dolls? how are their clothes on bambicrony, anyone tried?

 

I was told some of the slacks can fit on tightly and that on stretch tops the sleeves and armholes are usually too small.

I bought a pair of the dolls in the cute Dance outfits and I was disappointed they were too small (they don't stretch at all). One outfit almost fits though. They were cute though and I might try adding wider velcro in the back or something. I also have some capri pajama bottoms and those fit BC tightly.

There is one photo here on DoA somewhere of a Bambicrony is 4-ever best friends slacks and bathing suit(?) top.

Just a bit more info - they're the clothes for the dolls that are made at the Build a Bear stores. Friends2BMade. You can find them online if you do a search. I personally don't have any so I don't know if they will fit BC's. They seem to fit MSD dolls fairly well.

If you want something really special, as Lunameth mentioned, Spampy has recently started making BC clothes, but I would recommend stalking her thread over in the Marketplace cause her stuff is gorgeous but it sells very quickly!

Also, I spent some time trying Blythe clothes on my BC yesterday, and as long as the tops have very big arm or sleeve holes, they will usually fit and close around the BC's chest. The problem is that they are way too short in length, so if you have a cute dress, it can look nice as a top with pants or even leggings, although most didn't cover her little bum. There was no chance that the Blythe pants would fit.

 

No... 4-Ever Best Friends are totally different from Friends2BMade. 4-Ever Best Friends is a preteen Bratz variant from MGA Entertainment. They were sold in Toys R Us, Target, Walmart, etc. but now may only be available places like Ebay. They are vinyl dolls and about 9 or 10 inches tall.

And a question - anyone have an example of Bambicrony wearing Groovy Girls clothes? I ordered a cute Groovy Girls T-shirt set but I haven't recieved them yet. (I had to buy them - one said Ciao on it!) Does anyone have a photo of BC in anything else of theirs?

I was amased at how many barbie clothes actually fit. A couple with slight bumshots but still. My best and most perfect find was when I went through the barbie clothes that my grandmother sewed for us.
My grandmother used to sew alot of clothes for our barbies and here is one of her best items.


I had to open the seams at the end of the sleaves only slightly. Other then that they are a perfect fit. I think she bought the pattern for it at her local seamstress store and originally the sleaves werent that tight, she tightened them up so they wouldnt look to loose on our barbies.
So trying out some barbie patterns might be a really great move for those that can sew decently. (Not me then, )

 

I just found out today that my Bambicrony was shipped last week, and is in Toronto already!!! I was in Toronto yesterday - gee - I could have picked it up!!

We have been in New York at a doll convention for the last week, and I am so glad to be home! That is a long drive to NYC.

Clothes for my Gun (who will be known as something other than Gun) should be done later this week.

Thanks Lunameth and Delicateangel! I really love doing it. It always amazes me how a wig and an outfit can completely change the look of a doll. Here's my new "get up"! She's got Mayas wig on. I didn't think it would work, but it does! It shows that Lati yellow and BC can wear the same wigs, sometimes. It's a 5/6 from Monique. And it was inexpensive.

I got the chair at Joanns in the garden department. It's actually a plant holder. I just hacked off the legs a bit and added a cushion and voila! They have them in other colors too!

 

My Bambicrony Gun should be here today. I do have jeans for sale on my page, but nothing else yet. T-shirts should be ready shortly once I have the perfect fit (later today)

Can't wait to dig into the box!!

I'm anxious to see your Gun! I will eventually have to adopt my own BC, as Kumi is just a visitor and I'm torn between Vin Gun and Cookie. Can't wait to see pics of him. And also, I love the work you do! So cute!

 

i'm definitely getting Cookie. and I really like your little purple set on Kumi there but I can't afford it right now... DX so I'll wait and see what I can find for Cookie later. I know I want this little pink pigtail wig from eluts in the cutie delf section for her, but yeah Cookie's way way way down on my list of dolls to get at the moment... so we'll see what happens.

as cheap as they are maybe I can talk my parents into buying her for me for my birthday or something lol.

 

Well, the postal worker left a card in my slot, even though I was home all day yesterday, so I am going to pick up Gun this morning on my way to work. I wish he had attempted to delivery him, so disappointing.

And yes, photos galore!! I have several dresses for him to wear - shh, don't tell anyone he will be cross dressing for me.

My oldest son has those deep blue eyes, my middle son has Emerald green eyes, and my daughter has chocolate brown - so I wanted cookie too, but she was sold out so Gun was my choice. I can always order brown eyes for him to remind me of my baby!! She will be 11 years old next week.

Doesn't that just frost you when they don't knock on the door? You'd think that would be better because then they wouldn't have to write out the notice. Luckily I was home when my Baha kitty arrived but I had to chase the guy since he was already in his truck by the time I got to the door.

I'm looking forward to the pictures. There's not a lot of Guns around here.

 

delivery men never do a very good job at delivery... they'd rather slack off, drive all over and let the post office deal with it than actually deliver stuff... i wanna kick them in the head something hard core...
