1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

What exactly is an Obitsu doll?

Dec 15, 2005

    1. the advantage to the obitsu is that it´s much lighter and you can just pull apart the doll at almost any joint (comes in handy if you have a short sleave top that´s really fitted, just remove arms and insert them in after).

You may have to get a neck adaptor if you plan on using an obitsu head on a resin body though.

    2. :) I'll keep that in mind! Thanks!

    3. Unoa_ima_freak's response is correct, but if the reason you're asking what it means is that you saw an Obitsu body called "ball-joint model" on Junkyspot, you should know -- that one isn't actually ball-jointed or held together with elastic XD it's actually vinyl and mechanically joined, just like the soft-body. It's exactly the same as the normal Obitsu 60cm soft-body, with the only difference that it's sculpted a little differently to look like it has ball joints like a BJD.

So, no worries if you want to put your gretel on that one :) it should work fine and not need any mods or adapters or anything.

    4. Oh Gosh! thanks! and yes I was looking for this kind of response. I appreciated the information given! :)

    5. I might just have to get a small female...so cheap, will be worth getting just to try out! Must have changable eyes though, I hate the painted on look!

    6. This thread is super helpful. :kitty2:kitty2:kitty2

Good thing I came across this thread since I was eyeing an Obitsu head. :pcupcake:bcupcake:pcupcake:bcupcake:pcupcake
