1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

What fits an IpleHouse EID woman?

Nov 19, 2009

    1. Gio: no problem at all! I just don't like Iplehouse's shoes so I risked myself and ordered from other websites and they turned out great!! :D I'm happy I helped here!

    2. Yeah, Iple doesn't have a lot that I like either. I risked myself once and it didn't work out so I'm kinda iffy about it now :D

    3. Do you guys know of any place that I can get EID lady sized gloves or a pattern so that I can make them myself? And I mean more like dress up gloves that go up the arm or the kind that stop at the wrist with a bow or something swanky like that.

    4. I just received a dress with a pair of these, so I'm a bit abuzz about it, but Nigel Chia makes gloves that are lovely. I am not sure if he sells them individually, but you might ask him in his commission thread. He is excellent. ^_^

The gloves have an individual thumb, though not the rest of the fingers of course (since the EID ladies do not have all their fingers separated). ^_~

    5. Where are you guys getting wigs other than Iplehouse? They have little pea heads, none of my other wigs fit her.

    6. I've got a thing for Leeke World, Jpop wigs (try Ebay), and Dollmore's mohair. Oh, and I make my own sometimes too.

    7. I got size 8-9 from Monique Trading Co. I love Monique wigs.
Remember to click on "Monique gold collection for Ball Jointed dolls".

    8. 2 of my ladies use Monique 8-9 sized wigs. Then, I have another one with Iplehouse wig and, the remaining one, with mohair from Dollmore.

    9. Really? I have an 8-9 Jpop wig and it's far too loose. I might have to try a 7-8 next time. Thanks for the info guys! :)

    10. If you go for the Dollmore try 7/8.
While Jpop 7/8 depending on the wig will fit up to 8.5 heads check their notes.
Leeke's 7/8 are tight and 8/9 are a bit loose.

    11. Yes, from Dollmore I use 7-8 size but it doesn't fit all the ladies from Iple. It fits my Asa but not my Jessica, for example. And 8-9 mohair in my Jessica looks loose.

    12. It's a matter of taste if you prefer 8-9 or 7-8 wigs - some like the floofy look of the bigger size, and that the wigs are very easy to put on; some appreciate that the smaller wigs are look more proportionally realistic and are prepared to be firm when putting on the smaller size to achieve that look.

Here's my husband's EID Jessica in the same Iplehouse style wigs in two sizes....

8-9 size - very floofy, and no matter how you put on the wig the wig cap covered her ears.

7-8 size - the hair is proportional to her and she can actually show off her ears!

    13. Aww Our Jessica's really do have little pea heads! The 8-9 Jpop I have slips off it's so loose, and you can poke all the excess room where it doesn't lay on her head. I'd deffo go for a 7-8 then as her ears are pierced, not much point in putting earrings in if the head cap is over them. Thanks for the info guys! :)

    14. My Ashanti has a pea head too!
So funny, seeing as their bodies are so big in comparison
I have a Happy Camille Wig in 7-8, its too tight, pops right off- But I put white-tak on her head
and it keeps it right on :) Jpop 7-8 fits well, and I use white-tak with that too,
it just keeps help her wig on.
Although I never had such a problem with my previous dolls >_>

    15. I can't wait to get my Jessica head a body. :)
I've only had Luts and Soom dolls before. Luts dolls have HUGE heads and getting my Super Gem after them I felt like his head was tiny. Once I got my Jessica head I knew exactly what a tiny head really was lol.
The wig I'm using for her now is an Iplehouse wig fit for EID girl heads. I have a SID girl on the way and no wig in my wig box that will fit her yet. I think I'll go for a 7-8 Jpop.

    16. ( I'm not sure I'm doing this right ) Ok, I'm a total newb to DoA and I'm awaiting my first BJD in the mail ( Iplehouse Asa). This site is a wonderful wealth of knowledge! I think I may get lost for a bit in all the information, but I'm pleased to have access and everyone is so helpful. I was worried about finding clothing for the larger dolls ( I want to eventually get a Jessica and a Carina ) and have found this helpful. I'm actually going to make my Asa ( I haven't renamed her at this point ) a kimono ( Tomesode) to wear. I'm decent at sewing and hope it comes out ok. I haven't gotten her yet so it'll be a while before I can post pictures here for everyone to see. But I'm so excited I had to tell someone. lol

    17. That's great Wikkychu :) Hope she arrives for you soon.

    18. Wikkychu: congrats for your first doll! Amazing choice you did! I love Asa so much! Happy to read you find this thread helpful! I hope I can help more here in the future ^--^

    19. It's been awhile since I browsed (aka lurked) in here for research purposes. Buuut I'm super close to getting a medium bust EID Carina and it seems all the wigs on Iple I'd like to buy for her are out of stock. <<;

Is it just a general rule of thumb that the 7-8 (for tighter fit) and 8-9 for the recommended size fit the EID ladies regardless of companies? Or have we found some companies where the 7-8 is too small or the 8-9 definitely too big?

I'm curious about Luts, Dollmore, Leeke or DollZone.

    20. These are the wigs I have which are too big.

Luts Delf and Soom Gem wigs don't fit.
      8-9 Jpop feels too big.
8-9 Dolkot wigs are much too big.
      8-9 Cotindoll is too big
8-9 Fur wig is too big.
Iplehouse wigs for EID Females are the only perfect fit I have so far.

I'm getting 7-8 from now on, at least if it's too small (which I'm pretty certain it won't be) I can make a small cut in the back. If the wig is too big it looks silly it will come too far down on her forehead and engulf her.
