1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

What is your biggest fear concerning your dolls?

Oct 3, 2011

    1. What makes me the most anxious is the thought of losing dolls in the mail, whether it be selling or sending off for customization, I just always panic >_<

    2. If it's a doll I have safely at home, I am worried about breaking a finger or a hand. I can't replace some of the parts for mine. Maybe once I can access the Marketplace, but I am not there yet.

If it's a new company, I wory about them taking my money and running. I do not mind waiting, but I want to see some reward for my money.

    3. Have them plant face first on the floor and breaking something....or falling backwards and cracking their heads open like an egg. :horror:

    4. This may sound like kind of a strange fear, but, uh bedbugs.

See, many years ago, I came home from college and discovered that in my absence, my parents had contracted a terrible case of bedbugs. Bedbugs are disgusting, horrible things, and they are almost IMPOSSIBLE to kill. The only real way to kill them is to steam-heat them for hours at a time. They can hide in anything, and so I had to throw away almost everything I owned in my parents' house. I still have nightmares.

I moved out years ago, and I now live on my own. Every time I move to a new house, however, I'm worried tath I'll find I'm living in a place with bedbugs, and that I'll have to get rid of my dolls, or damage them terribly by steam-cleaning them.

Like I said, this seems like a very strange and paranoid sort of fear, but if you'd been there at the time, you'd understand, I swear. It sticks with you.

    5. Breakage of my dolls faces or fingers ;u; Another fear would probably be losing a doll in the mail. Or having a doll arrive to me in pieces.

    6. Most recently, now that my hubby is in a wheel chair for looks like a long while, that our apartment would collapse in an earthquake (California is getting really annoying) and I'd be standing there going......yeah, better get the hubby.....Then screaming at the emergency people to save my babies.

    7. I am always, no matter what, afraid of dropping or breaking my dolls just by touching them. I also don't like for people who do not own BJDs to hold my dolls for fear that they will drop them or move something in the wrong direction and break them. I am very paranoid as it is, so it is worse with my dolls. I don't like watching them get pulled apart or get their heads taken off.

    8. I am constantly stressing about scratching them, since my first doll was so badly scratched :/ But also they sit under my book-shelf cos it's the only place I have room, and sometimes I worry that the shelf will fall over on them!! That's just paranoia though.

    9. I'm afraid my doll will turn yellow faster than I expect it to. ;-;

    10. I am afraid of them breaking from falling off a shelve.

    11. That I will break his fingers, or that they would tople over and break into pieces.

    12. I worry about theft.
Seriously freaks me out thinking about it.
Like i might just have to attack someone if that happend and i dont want to attack someone.

i've had plenty of things stolen from me, *friends* who obviously weren't friends who stole. so if i'm not touching my doll or sitting next to her *soon to be more* My husband will be holding or sitting next to them.

Even at the meets i've been to. I didn't leave one doll alone the entire time.

People in general will steal if they got the chance, so leaving my doll with someone who is not my husband is never going to happen.
If i ever pay for a face up, I will be right next to them, the ENTIRE TIME. seriously. or I'll do my own face ups, *can't wait to try*

Also terrified my son will want her, reach up and pull on the cirio *sp?* cabinet and everything will crash on him and both of them will be hurt.
Though he'd get checked first ... *that's why everything is bolted down in my house ^^''

    13. My biggest fear is the doll breaking... ._. Pixie's finger broke... Now I'm uber cautious.
OH and I'm scared of doing a face up for the dolls and messing up and being unable to get rid of it.

    14. I worry about them falling over and breaking! Yikes!

    15. I'm afraid that my dolls will decade by time... From what I've read, they said that resin will yellow and decade in the end (O.O") Even though it would take so many years (maybe until I become a grand mother or so XD). But I still fear of it. And sure... falling, getting damage, being stolen and sold or changing face up(some cases) too... (=,=")

    16. I don't own a doll yet, but my biggest fear is breaking them. I can be a bit clumsy at times so that makes me nervous. On top of that, I have 2 dogs. One dog is okay, but the other is still a puppy and she loves to chew things. I would have to keep a doll in a locked room at all times out of fear @_@

    17. Like many others, I am afraid of a house fire, or having my doll stolen. Because although breaking a doll is horrifying, I would still have it, so it wouldn't be my worst fear. However, having it completely and utterly destroyed, or stolen, tops my list...

    18. My dog has already made several grabs for my doll, usually by the hand or arm. So far she's only done it when I was playing with the doll. I'm super careful about keeping the doll on very high surfaces when I'm not around.

    19. Mine would for them to arrive broken in the box. Ugh just trying to imagine pains me, months worth of waiting and having it be broken? Yikes!

    20. Since I'm going to be flying a lot, and possibly picking up a doll in person, I fear it being destroyed in transit. I trust some of the big doll companies to send a replacement part, but if I'm flying or shipping a doll to myself...
