1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

What is your biggest fear concerning your dolls?

Oct 3, 2011

    1. I'm always worried about messing up the faceup when I am taking the clothes off and on. I guess I worry about wig staining too. I try to be good and use the caps, but the caps just don't stay on right.....

    2. As far as before they get home, it would have to be them getting lost in the mail or something.

In general, I'd have to say I'm worried most about dropping them and breaking something on them. This goes for Flowne in particular, I'm worried that if I accidentally drop it her pretty ears will break right off.

    3. I always get worried about my dolls being miss delivered or lost first, then that they should get damaged somehow. However, I'm a box-opener and always will be, so there's no stopping the potential for accidents. I try to keep all of my dolls located in a safe room, away from elements or my pets but it's still a worry that I have from time to time. Otherwise the only thing that bothers me is the idea of people coming into my house and touching my dolls unless I tell them it's okay. I would be nervous to handle someone else's expensive doll, and it makes me nervous to have someone I don't trust entirely handle mine. :XD:

Share what gets you anxious when it comes to your dolls! Even if its silly irrational things, Id love to hear them.[/QUOTE]
I would never let my animals alone with a doll in anyway shape or form but I do have fears: my biggest is accidentally hurting or breaking one with the resins. I won't let them stand on their own they only get to sit or go back to a padded box.

    5. My biggest fear is that my doll fall down and break some part. Also, one of my fears is any friend decide to touch my dolls face, even when I say no, sometimes people forget and touch :doh

    6. My boyfriends has anger issues and when he gets heated he typical throws things. Or my kitties jumping in the furniture and knocking over my doll. There are also so many people in and out of this house, someone who's not friendly with me might steal it.

    7. The doll breaking while it's being carried somewhere. I can't imagine anything more heartbreaking than to open your bag only to find it's broken!

    8. A doll getting lost in the mail, or damaged. I check the shipping address like 10 times before placing the order lol

    9. I'm mostly afraid as most of us that my doll break/gets destroyed

    10. I have anxiety about my doll being lost or stolen in transit. Imagine losing all of that money!

    11. I am so afraid of losing my dolls! And yellowing too.

    12. My biggest fear is spending a lot of money on the hobby and then getting tired of it.

    13. My biggest fear are my dolls getting stolen/broken and/or a house fire....

    14. Breaking them or messing up the faceup is number 1

    15. I tend to worry that they get destroy (natural disaster) or anything that is beyond my control. Also, I worry that I may get tired of them years later and spend so much money on them. I told myself in the past that I wouldn't ever get tired of cosplay, but after 10 years (yes you read that right) of cosplaying, I just got tired to paying so much for making cosplay. Hopefully that wouldn't be the case for my dolls.

    16. Kids coming in and destroying them. Or an animal getting to them and use them as a chew toy. D:

    17. i freak out when i have to send a head off for a faceup.. i know its coming home, but you never know what might happen while she's away.. LOL!

    18. This is also a fear of mine. For ten+ years my every free moment was all full of cosplay - I travelled abroad, managed reunions, made the craziest outfits and bought the weirdest custom wigs you can imagine. I spent so much time and money in it, and while at the time I didn't think twice about it, now, in hidsight... well. I gradually lost all interest.

I'm very much into dolls now (well, to be honest, in one way or another I've always been albeit less focused) but I'm afraid to lose that in a few years, as I did with cosplay. Then again, maybe not? You do see more mature people in this hobby than in our former one, which bodes quite well...

    19. -I fear my dog finding my doll because she is going through her "chew on everything" puppy phase.
-I fear that I am going to stain my doll really bad and it will just never come off.
-I also fear that he is going to yellow really bad. I know that he will yellow over time but I've seen some people show resin so yellowed that it looks like an egg yolk.

    20. My biggest fear is about face up . I heard this somewhere i can't remember that the default face up from the company is temporary :(
