1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

What is your biggest fear concerning your dolls?

Oct 3, 2011

    1. I can't even write it down. I'm afraid of Murphy's Law.

    2. My biggest fear is a house fire. I would probably have to choose between my dolls, my violin, and my computer, and even if I chose the dolls I have too many to rescue all of them in a situation like that. :...(

    3. Mine is probably being rejected by someone I care about because of my dolls

    4. My biggest fear is my boyfriend takes them when I'm not looking and destroys them or hides them.

    5. Since my dollfie dreams are most important to me it is defenitely staining or breaking internal parts. But also sunlight and house fire :(

    6. Probably not the place for relationship advice, but if that's something you're actually concerned about then you need to leave him. You're better off by yourself, or being with someone who is not an arse. Or I'm reading too much into this, either way.

    7. He has a really big fear of dolls. and I mean all types of doll.

    8. That I lose them somehow. Like have them taken away (stolen or destroyed), not just misplace them. Ethan is a little too big to misplace, but he'd be difficult (due to price) to replace.

    9. Mine is that my family throws them out not realizing what they are. I am thinking of taking them to my apartment, but what if they get stolen?

    10. That they get sent off for a face-up and never return home

    11. Please save yourself first!

    12. My biggest fear is my grandmother seeing them and destroying them because she hates that I bought them (with money that was given to me in lieu of gifts, mind you, so it was up to me to get what I wanted). She's never been supportive of any hobby of mine or even any purchase of mine, she always gives me this look anytime a package comes for me, like she's trying to gauge how much money I've "wasted" on whatever's inside. I'm just scared she'll really hate my dolls and she'll mistreat them on purpose (she hasn't done that with many of my things (she does leave mugs I've bought for myself out where they get grimy instead of finding places for them in the cabinet with the rest of the cups) but I honestly wouldn't put it past her)

    13. I am afraid of chipping hahah

    14. I’m scared that I’ll end up falling out of love with the hobby altogether.

    15. Fire, that one day i come home and my house is on fire. I don't fear burglary as most don't see the value of this dolls.

    16. I have a thought that after I'm gone, my bjds are lying on a sale table for $1 apiece and all their stuff went to Goodwill!
(And please don't ask where that might happen!:XD:)
I once read some Zen advice: Resolve yourself to the loss now. So when it happens, you think,"Ah, there it is."
      I am SO not Zen!

    17. Same. It's an expensive hobby...

    18. My biggest fear is coming true: my older sister told me to move out of her house after an argument we had. I told her I will move out in a couple of weeks (even if that means living in the car). For the past few days I have been throwing away a lot of personal possessions like books cds and stuffed dolls ie Sylvanians and CPKs. I will keep 3 of my bjds because they are something I have bonded with. This experience although tragic may it seem has lifted the weight off my shoulders. Before I had too many things in my room. By decluttering, I realised I love minimalism. I am thankful for the air I breathe, the sound of birds chirping in the morning and the warmth of sunlight each day. That's all I need plus 3 bjds to keep me company. A reminder for myself not to accumulate too many objects until I have a house that belong to me and a secure job.

    19. Fire and or evacuation. I have too many dolls to fit in the car and move.

    20. My biggest concern with the dolls is definitely them falling and doing some major damage like ruining a limited face-up or breaking/cracking/chipping body parts :shudder
It thankfully hasn't happened yet but we have had some close calls on outdoor photoshoots
