It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. What is your biggest fear concerning your dolls?

Oct 3, 2011

    1. I worry about having to evacuate for a Hurricane and having to transport all my dolls, clothing, wigs, etc. and they get damaged or lost . I also worry about damaging the face-ups. What a hassle to have to get that done again as I really love each of of their unique looks and it would be hard to capture that again for me.

    2. My biggest fear would be them getting ruined/broken or stolen.

    3. I agree with a couple posts above mine. I'm fearful if my dolls were damaged. It would be very hard to replace them. Financially and emotionally. :(

    4. Breaking things like fingers, or messing up the insides and not being able to fix it. Dropping her or things getting stolen and clothes bought but not fitting mostly.

    5. I share the fear of a lot of people here - that the doll would break. I've had hands break before and oh god, I got so scared! >.<

    6. My biggest fear about my dolls is losing them! I'm very particular about choosing my dolls even though they all are from second hand adoption (can't never afforded to buy new), I spent lots of time research and thoughts on a for sale bjd doll before buying her/him.
Broken or crack (as long as they are complete I'm fine with it) no face up, mess up face up, stained, etc, etc I can live with all that but to have them stolen or losing them will break my heart as they have their own special "feel" (I can't explain it) to them and it's irreplaceable and that go without saying for my real family too!:)

    7. Strangely, I'm more worried about melting them than dropping and breaking them. I think the reason might be that it's EXTREMELY hot here and if say, a head is like...melted slightly, it would be harder to notice right away than if I say, drop the head. I'm also less worried about dropping them because I'm just so super careful and they're stored/carried around padded when I do carry them around.

    8. I think fire is my worst fear. We have had to go underground due to tornadoes and I was able to grab a couple favorites but during a fire I don't think there would be time to grab dolls after evacuating kids and pets.

    9. My biggest fear? Having all my dolls stolen and/or destroyed completely. I think that would break my heart... ;-;
A more rational fear? Damaging someone else's doll by accident... If I damaged my own doll, it's okay cause I can deal with it; but to accidentally damage someone else's~~ There are no words for how utterly terrible I'd feel~ and the poor owner too... TT A TT So, I am always very very careful around other peoples dolls (not that I'm clumsy or anything, it just worries me so much!)

    10. Biggest fear is friend who is careless with a lot (she stained one of my nightgowns bright red because she refused wash her hair after dying it) will drop him and break him and do her stupid sheepish SMILE and say "Sorry!" And not offer one cent to cover the damages.

I'd probably have to keep her at arms length for awhile.

    11. I'm afraid of someone stealing my dolls. There is a big problem with break-ins where I live, and I just have to worry about that constantly. So my dolls are hidden in my closet. These people are just petty thugs and wouldn't even know how much these dolls are worth, but if they could get $5 for them at a flea market they would steal them.

    12. Probably breaking them or theft. The end of one of my girl's ears got bent somehow while she was in my bag, but it's next to nothing really. That's all I've experienced on that one. Just having something really bad and irreversible happen to a doll is my fear.

    13. ... iam afraid of someone stealing them, my room is under lock and key...but still...now that my daughter's bday party is coming still i am going to add extra security and hide them away

    14. My major fear is my dog getting a hold of my doll and ripping it up. It's funny, because I love my dog to death, but he also loves to destroy things. I don't know how I would feel if my beloved dog destroyed one of my most treasured objects : / Fortunately, he has never destroyed anything that was not replaceable, but I don't think my doll would fit on that list. Secondly, I'm deathly afraid of fires. I don't know how I would take it if I lost *everything*, including my pets and doll in a fire.

    15. A tornado. *_* I'm not kidding. I was at a movie theater once and there was a pretty bad storm, it wasn't bad enough for them to make us take shelter, but I kept thinking that if it got worse and I was stuck at the theater, there would be no one at home to make sure my dolls got downstairs. I've actually thought about keeping them in a bin on stormy nights, in case we had to run downstairs. :shudder Now that I have my rats, they're first priority after the people, but the BJD aren't far behind.

    16. the most thing i afraid about my doll is my little brother, he have no idea what my dolls mean to me. *its just a doll and do not need to pay so much a attention and time on them. * so, im always afraid someday he would play with them and broken them any a little with careless! that would broke my heart also.

    17. With my own dolls my biggest fear is of them being damaged like from a fall or something. I'm also nervous when opening a box in case something is wrong with the doll.

    18. Having it fall off a shelf and getting broken and getting to much sunlight and getting uneven yellowing :'(

    19. Fire or natural disaster. Obviously my first priority is to get the cat and dog to safety, there probably won't be much time for dolls after searching all over the place for the two of them while trying not to die.
After those, my shelves toppling over is my biggest fear. My apt is in an older building and it leans. Badly. Candles burnt are slanted and there are doors that don't shut because the frames have shifted so badly. My shelves look like they're leaning horribly and I am always afraid they'll fall and crush the dolls. And if it happens I know it'll be at night when they also crush me, since I'll be in my bed between both of them (and it's my dolls fondest wish to take me out with them - I'm sure of it XDD).

Theft or loss after that, but pretty far on the scale. I don't lose things that often, and not too many people are in and out of my room, so it's not a huge fear...

Damage from falls or stuff like that: not really on my radar. My dolls have fallen, been knocked over, faceups have chipped and flaked off, been scratched and (I swear) leaped off tables and I've only had two parts break, both replaceable. I've modded a few and slipped with the dremel (I'm good for that) more than once, and I'm fairly certain I can repair any minor damage so I don't worry too much about them getting "hurt".

    20. My biggest fear is having to move someplace where I can't have them anymore.

My second biggest fear is fire. If in a fire, I'll be looking out for my family and my dog, not my dolls. Because of the layout of my house and where they are, chances would be that my dolls would burn/melt horribly before I could ever get to them (after saving the living).
