What is your favorite doll size and why

Jan 14, 2010

    1. MSD, absolutely. I used to buy a lot of SD sized ones, but they're just too big. I have one SD guy now, but everybody else is MSD. They're just the perfect size for me. ^^

    2. I thought I preferred the MSD size, until I got my Dollmore Model Doll. I'm not sure what generic size that conforms to ... SD17? I love her scale, her balance and weight. She's a great size to knit for, too. I get to play more with shaping and detail, and I don't have to go down to lace weight yarn (which is awesome, since I've got a million balls of fingering, and since I find lace weight a bit too fiddly).

    3. I don't know yet. I have quite a few of MSD, and SD, and of late have gotten into the 16cm, and the 24-26cm dolls. I also have some of the smaller one's too. So I guess it is safe to say I just don't know yet. I need a little more time.

    4. MSD, definitely. I'm rather short so SD and up seems like too much to handle, also it would get too heavy to carry quickly. I do want maybe one or two, but not as much as the MSDs I want.

    5. MSDs and SDs! Big and lots of detail<3

    6. I love the tinies! I live in a very small space, and so whenever I collect things, (it is a given I can't just have ONE), they need to be not very big. I started off with the Pullips & Co. dolls, and still have them, and the tinies work with my existing collection...

    7. MSDs. I have two SDs but they're more for collecting purposes - SD size is just too big and too heavy for me. I adore the height and weight of the MSD size. They're just the right proportions for me.

    8. I find myself drawn more to the larger dolls, SD and 70 cm size...and up from that. I dunno, the bigger dolls seem more sturdy, and much easier to admire. Plus I feel like they'd be more fun to carry around...even if it leaves me with sore arms

Granted I do have at least 3 smaller dolls on my wishlist, 2 being YoSD sized and one around MSD sized. But one of them is supposed to be a child niece to one of my 70cm's and the other two are going to be "sit pretty" dolls that get painted nice and then almost never touched.

    9. I love my SD size dolls. At first I wanted a MSD but got an SD instead. But since then I've gotten an MSD it's just hit home at how much I love my SD size one. The SD dolls to me just feel so nice and sturdy and I like having something slightly big in my hand.

    10. I prefer msd ^^; I'm small and short and I feel weird next of my friends 60+ dolls what are almost half as high as me XD I think I would be scared next of a 90cm doll XD MSDs are small and light especially my DC boy

    11. I LOVE tinies for display. I have three in a diorama displayed in my home and they stay there. But for interacting with and taking around I like yosd and msd. Anything bigger than that is too much for me. I have fibromyalgia so that would destroy my arms!!!!

    12. For a while I thought it was MSD, but I've realized that this isn't the case at all. I love the MSD guy I have, but I've never been able to get into MSDs the same way I do with SDs. I often try to look at MSDs and see if there are any others that I really want...and there's one that I kind of do, but I always end up looking at SDs again and putting them above him on the priority list. :sweat I'm not sure what it is about them, though.

    13. 60 CM. My favorite size, period. Sure, I have a ton of tinies too, and like 6 MSDs, but I love my bigger ones!

    14. i prefer msds because they're petite and cute. plus, my wrists are really weak so it's difficult for me to carry an sd ^^

    15. SDs, especially the 70cm size! They're much easier to sew for and work on than MSDs, and I don't find them too heavy or bulky. Just right, in fact. I like that they're big enough to see all the details, and they don't make me feel like I'm playing with a Barbie doll as my friends' MSDs do. They're also the perfect size for hugs. :D

    16. I enjoy MSD sized dolls, and smaller. They're not that heavy, easy to hold and they don't take up a butt load of room

    17. Make anything smaller, and it will be cuter . . . Most people who know me have heard me say this at least once, and many have heard it multiple times. I can't help it--I'm a sucker for tiny things, and when the tiny thing has beautiful and amazing details to go along with it, that's when it goes on my wishlist. At first I was Lati all the way, but now I love the Pukis, too. Don't get me wrong, there are bigger dolls I really want as well, but I'm always drawn first and foremost to the little ones.

    18. MSDs. Not too big or too small~

    19. 60-65cm range. I like the size, weight, and how easy they are to sew for. 70cm+ are too big for me. I have a few tinies, but I don't play with them much.

    20. I like MSD size :) SD's are just a bit too big for me, but I still love them!
