Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. What is your favorite doll size and why

Jan 14, 2010

    1. SD13 Size or DS size..... then Yo size then MSD
But I do have dolls of each size

    2. I like tiny dolls- under 20 cm, because they are portable and easy to be stored.

    3. I find that I much prefer MSDs to anything else. I've never owned an SD, though there are a couple that I would be interested in owning one day. I've held other people's and was surprised by the weight of them, especially after having MSDs!

Anything bigger than an SD would freak me out. I can't do the big dolls. I admire people who can, but those are not for me. O_O

I've owned exactly one doll smaller than a MSD... and will never do it again. I owned a Pipos Baha, and while he was the cutest darn thing EVER, I found him to be impractical and hard to do anything with. Maybe I just didn't have the patience for it, or something. I have two of the Littlefees and a PukiFee on my Wishlist, but I doubt that I'll ever actually own them. I think my problem is that I find them irresistibly cute and adorable!

    4. I don't have an MSD sized doll, but I have held a Minifee before and I've decided MSD is my favorite size. 1: They aren't too heavy. Most SD's are too heavy with all my back problems. 2: They are a bit easier to make clothing, accessories, furniture, and bedrooms for. 3: They aren't too big, but they aren't too small. :) I dunno...they are just a nice happy medium for me. :D Hard to explain really. I just like MSD sized dolls and lower.

    5. My favorite is the 60/70cm SD size (I have thought about the 90cm also). They are easier to handle and work with. I don't want to make tiny clothes and shoes. I like the larger size so I can see more detail up close and from a distance. I like the larger size to hold and the feel of them being heavy. They seem more realistic.

    6. MSD Size. I love my Minifee.

    7. My size is definitely 1/4. It's pretty cosy to handle and there is no trouble if I want to go out with the doll - any of my bags suits it:lol:

    8. I like bought msd and sd.Sd because they look more natural in outdoor photograpfy than they small one, and msd because they are easyto carry with me and is big enoght to look human.

    9. SDs FOREVER! I dunno, they just seem to be the perfect size for me, not too small (I'm scared I might lose them ;_;) and not too big (too hard to bring around) so yeah.

    10. I'm in the 60/70cm category. While I have dolls of all sizes the larger ones are some of my favorites. They can be a little difficult to travel with but I don't mind.

    11. I think I like MSD most! SDs are awesome..but I can't handle it :(

    12. I would have to say Tiny cause they seem more portable and oddly also more cute. though i have seen one life-size doll that was about the size of a toddler .. that looked like an anime girl. that was cute but i like tiny's the best/

    13. 60cm! not too big to be annoying, perfect for hugs, more accessories options (it's so much easier to find 14mm eyes than 10mm, or heel shoes for SD than MSD).
      ...and easier to paint :sweat

    14. Anywhere from 58 to 62 cm is acceptable for me, since the characters being portrayed are mostly adults. I am willing to make exceptions for child characters, however; one of the dolls on my wish list is a Brownie Doll.

    15. SD's in the 60cm range, originally started as a DD then i kept it that size because i can swap clothes between them.

even though i kinda want a kid delf....

    16. I started out with SD in the 60cm range and I've always fallen hardest for dolls in this size. Although within the last year or so I've been working my way into other sizes and I feel like MSD are my next favorite.

Yosd are cute, but I kinda feel at loss as to what to do with them when I've handled them? I want to get my first yoSD size soon, so I think I'll have a better impression when I actually own one. Anything smaller than that I might forget about it. haha oh my poor Puzzelf. XD; I do have plans to get one or two 65cm iple SID guys... but I think that is where I'll draw my limit. Big dolls which I LOVE to look at, are somehow harder for me to own. Its not necessarily the weight, I can't really explain it. lol

    17. My roommate has noticed I only want 70cm dolls and one msd doll xD So I have to say 70cm dolls are my favorite, I really don't know why

    18. I started my BJD life with a Mini, but soon, I realized my fav sizes are Larger and Tiny (16cm and below). I love the weight and easy-to-handle of Larger and bring-out-able of Tiny. Beside, sewing for Larger and Tiny is also easier. It doesnt mean I dont love my Mini anymore but I prefer my Larger and Tiny more.

    19. I started out with a 62cm SD, but later found out that MSD is fitting my size and preferences better and leave my SD and and hound to do bigger photoshoots with

    20. Well I think for me MSD is the best size, I don´t know why but in my eyes it´s the perfect to carry around and they don´t take too much space. But I like SDs too :)
